“Easy access to benches. Two slipways, a couple of pubs with views across the Tamar”
“We took our kids swimming and in half term holidays it was so good. I love that there’s a baby pool moving into a lanes swimming pool. Also, the lifeguards are on it - by that I mean they are very professional and taking good care of everybody in the pool. I was really impressed by that Team”
“We were looking for somewhere very dog friendly and with EV chargers, Kernock Cottages did not disappoint. Our standard poodle Theodore had a great week, the enclosure areas allowed him to run around freely. We used the hot tub every day, superb to watch the sun go down. Very relaxing. Great pub within 15 minutes walk, some nice vegetarian food options. We visited 2 of the dog friendly beaches and did a few walks as we were fortunate to get great weather in April. Highly recommended.”
“Absolutely lovely walks, fantastic views and easy parking on the road”
“The best wild camping site I have ever stayed! 200 acres of nature to camp amongst. You can camp next to the river, in the quarry, above the farm with amazing views, green fields, meadows and amongst the orchards. Waking up to the sound of the bird song and river flow is a relaxing start to the day. You're allowed fires and they offer free fire pits and sell wood at only £5 a bucket. The owners are super friendly and really make this wild site. The showers are hot and the toilets clean. You don't even have to book, just rock up and pay and find your own space. They allow tents, car camping, vans, motorhomes and even hammocks. I've stayed at alot of wild camping sites and this is by far the best.”
“Hidden gem, very limited parking. Lovely place to take the kids to stretch their legs. Amazing views of the river.”
“We had a pleasant 4-night stay at Notter Mill Country Park in February. Our main reason for the visit was to see family, and the comfortable bed & modern kitchen in our accommodation was a definite plus. Upon arrival, we were impressed by the cleanliness of the place. The hot tub was a highlight for us - it was well-maintained and very hot. Another cozy touch was the lovely log fire that added to our overall experience. However, we did encounter some minor issues. Adjusting the shower temperature was a bit tricky, and the muddy grounds due to the wet weather made getting in and out the car a pain, but the wet weather can’t be helped. We would definitely consider staying at Notter Mill Country Park again in the future.”
“I'm reviewing based on both the Aqua spa and the afternoon tea! The spa is great. Very reasonable priced, given more than enough time to enjoy the facilities. They don't overcrowd the spa so that you aren't able to enjoy it. Lots of different areas to experience and relax in. Access to the pool which is great. Changing rooms are lovely. Offer lockers, costume dryers & hair dryers. Showers also have soap. Overall - great. Afternoon tea (best I've had). Sandwiches were lovely, scones were the best I had ever tasted. Perfect combination of fluffy but with a little crunch. I'm sure the jam was home made? Perfectly sweet and I don't like jam so that says a lot! Carrot cake pot was gorgeous, little caramel tort was delicious and the white chocolate/lemon fancie was stunning!! Presentation was great, customer service was very good and the servers kept our water and tea topped up!! Only points would be, probably another sandwhich? A lot more sweet then savoury options! I wasn't to keen on the rocky road but that's a preference I believe!! I've been twice now to do both and will be back again.”
“Fabulous breakfast - beautifully presented and delicious. Quirky and quaint.”
“A beautiful spot complete with beaches open countryside for walks, stuning river views and the occasional ship wreck or two.”
“I found this place by accident when I was out running. Salt mill park is such a lovely green area next to the sea. Great scenic sea views, you can see the Tamar bridge from here. Great place for a picnic, walks, running (of course), dog walking. Explore nature at your foot step.”
“Beautiful views of the Cornish countryside. Visited for a friend's wedding. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, tidy and well furnished. As a guest there is access to the pools and sauna. I enjoyed a quiet morning swim. It is a very popular golf course, although not what I came for. Highly recommended for events, a weekend stay, the Health Club or to enjoy the high quality golf course. I didn't check out the spa on this occasion. Next time!”
“I lovely little local park with incredible views of the surrounding area. This park offers some great play facilities for children, a well kept Bowling Green and the stunning hillside location makes for some extraordinary views.”
“This is a lovely quiet site. Electric hook up & disposal point. Good base for visiting beauty spots across Cornwall & Devon.”
