Crawfordsburn is a great place for whatever kind of day out you have in mind. Inland country park walks, coastal path walk (Helen's bay to Bangor), grassy areas for games, the beach, a nice cafΓ©, and the ice-cream van! We were there for a church bbq and were able to make use of the activity/scout centre, which has a great covered area for any unsuspecting showers. Lots of picnic tables and toilet facilities. Ample parking in the main carpark and toilets are also available at the cafΓ©.

Very great spot to visit and the weather was nice this evening as well. A perfect blend of cool breeze and warm sunlight to light up the short visit. If you're using Google maps then it gets a bit confused but once you're parked the beach is quite near. A really nice and beautiful beach to visit, definitely recommended.

Stunning spot, beautiful sandy beach surrounded by forest and Belfast Lough. We visited on a weekend in May and the beach was busy with people enjoying the sun. There is a lovely coastal path walk to the beach from Bangor and plenty of benches and rocks to sit and admire the view. The water was perfect for a wee paddle and there is a cafe just a short walk from the beach in Crawfordsburn Country Park. I have also visited in the winter and the beach has a different type of beauty there but still a lovely place to walk and think. Highly recommend this area of wonderful natural beauty.

Crawfordsburn Country Park is a true haven for nature lovers, offering a diverse landscape that seamlessly blends coastal beauty with the tranquil charm of ancient woodlands. The beach itself is a postcard-perfect scene, where golden sands meet the gentle lapping waves of Belfast Lough. Its pristine condition and captivating views make it an ideal spot for sunbathing, picnicking, or simply enjoying the refreshing sea air. The coastal path, a well-maintained and easily accessible route, is a major draw for walkers and hikers. It winds its way along the shoreline, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the coastline and the Irish Sea. The gentle sea breezes and the rhythmic sound of the waves create a soothing and invigorating atmosphere, making it a perfect place for both leisurely strolls and more energetic hikes. The path is suitable for all ages and fitness levels, allowing everyone to appreciate the natural beauty of the area. Venturing inland, the park's woodland areas provide a peaceful and secluded escape. The ancient trees, lush undergrowth, and diverse flora create a tranquil environment, ideal for those seeking a moment of respite from the daily grind. The well-marked trails wind through the woods, offering opportunities for exploration and discovery. The dappled sunlight filtering through the leaves and the sounds of birdsong create a truly magical atmosphere. Crawfordsburn Country Park is a place where you can reconnect with nature, breathe in the fresh air, and appreciate the simple beauty of the outdoors.

Beautiful walk . Stopping off at the rock pools with the grandchildren to investigate and walked up to the cafe for coffee and snacks. Great place.

Great place for the dog. Park at the Glen, walk through the flower meadow and follow the path to the dog friendly fields down to the beach. Muddy after rain.

Ah, great walk on 2nd Jan for New Year with some family. Many memories of when I camped here when in the 37th cubs and scouts, proper camping! I can still smell the wood fire and my potato cooking on it. Anyone remember?

This is a favourite go to place for many years especially summer and autumn. Great space with both shore and forest walks. Good amenities and coastal path to Holywood or Bangor. Helens Bay train station not to far away either.

Lovely big sea view, unfortunately it was quite windy on the day, too cold for us to finish the walk.
