Lovely place, with very kind and helpful staff and delicious food. Family friendly with high chairs and colouring sheets, board games, etc. I recommend to reserve if you go on a Saturday night. We will definitely be back.

Booked a table, glad we did as they were busy. Staff were friendly and efficient. Good selection of beer and larger. Food was outstanding. Their hummus was out of this world, delicious. The burger was yum too. Over all very impressed and my guests loved it too.

What can I say about this pub, but I wish I could take it home so I can have a nice pub to eat locally lol. It is a lovely little pub. Love the lay out and decor of it. I included a picture of the bathroom because where I'm from, a lot of toilets are just a shambles, whereas these toilets stay with the theme of the pub. But more importantly they are CLEAN! The staff are friendly, polite and accommodating. The menu has a good selection of dishes. My partner ordered the steak and he had a smile on him the whole time eating it. Was cooked to perfection. As for me, I had the chicken and leek pie, mash potato and peas. All of it again was perfect. The peas were fresh. The mash potato was the perfect consistency and the pie was spot on. I was so full I could not have dessert which is a big thing for me as I have a major sweet tooth. But I was extremely satisfied with just the one Dish. We enjoyed the meal so much we decided to book a table for the following night. This time burger and chips... Again tasted amazing and the desert, biscoff cheesecake and ice cream. Wow. This time I was smiling earlier to ear.

Decided to pop in as we needed something to eat after a day out, despite the late hour (21:00) and with short notice the staff were really helpful in getting us sorted with food and drinks in a warm friendly manner. Great atmosphere with old school board games to entertain and a great place to hold a conversation without loud music. Highly recommended

One of the best meals Iβve ever had and easily the best pizza Iβve ever eaten. Phenomenal food, and such lovely, generous and prompt service. An issue in the booking system had meant they didnβt know about our table for ten, but they immediately made it work and we ended up with the large upstairs room to ourselves. Itβs not the cheapest place on Earth but the portion sizes and quality of food and service more than make the cost a very good deal. Also, almost the entire menu is (or can be made) gluten free, and when we requested adding prawns (of all things) to a calzone filled with onion chutney and Camembert, they were happy to and only charged an extra pound! We will be back as soon as possible. Faultless.

The pork half ribs with slaw and chips were perfectly cooked. Unfortunately, the chicken wings were really dry. Cheese stuffed peppers were nice. Staff friendly and attentive.

We got a minimised menu (Sunday menu) which we was not informed about when we booked. This left us with fewer options. The slaw was really unpleasant and the signature burger was tasteless very disappointing. However the garlic bread was good but could have more garlic in it, the chicken strips and fries were also good. Staff are very polite and helpful. Nice scenery , although the lighting is quite low.

We decided to pop in for lunch one afternoon as it had been recommended by a friend. It turned out to be the release of a new menu that exact day so things were a bit up in the air but the staff were really accommodating. My partner had the pulled pork on flat bread and he thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the pizza but it was very crispy on the outside and bland, from the picture it looked lovely but i had to leave the outside of it. We had a side order of fries which was a very generous portion. The pub itself was nice and rustic but on a busy day I feel parking could be an issue. If it wasn't for the pizza I would of given 5 stars. I would most likely go again but choose a different menu option.

What a find, this place will definitely become our after Alton Towers tea stop before heading home. Food was amazing and very reasonably priced for the type of food (gastro pub). The cask ale IPA they had on was very good and the dΓ©cor was very quirky. Staff were very friendly but knocking down a star as there was a few instances of forgetfulness such as slightly wrong order, additional drink turning up after we'd already had the drink and having to go up to the till to pay after waiting around 10 mins after asking for the bill when we were keen to get on the road.
