I visited during lunchtime, and they already ran out of the cold dish and noodles soup I wanted. I picked something else, and both cold dish and noodles soup were just okay. The waitress didn’t say anything to me once I was seated. She assumed I would and I should check out the menu and let her know what I’d like to order myself. The toilet was downstairs and it was so untidy and gross. I thought to give it a try, and now I doubt I’d visit this place again.

My visit was rather underwhelming to be honest. The knife shaved noodles are not fresh ones and that makes a big difference. The taste of the broth is alright but not great and overall food was very average. They only accept cash but at least they don’t charge the service charge. Because of the lack of aircon the restaurants gets really hot too. Portion sizes are decent and prices are ok.

Regional Chinese food from the north of the country. The cuisine was very different to the fare from a standard Chinese restaurant in Britain. We had Haggis soup(!), Chinese burger, tomato and beef frisked and Braised Pork meal (which wasn’t on the menu but we asked for it because the woman next to us was eating it and it looked delicious - and it was). All of it was great.

As a Beijinger living in the UK, I often miss the flavors of my hometown. That’s why I drove all the way from London to Brighton for a taste of Beijing, and let me tell you – it did not disappoint! The flavors were just like back home. I highly recommend trying the traditional Beijing dish, 'Beijing-style stewed pork with flatbread.' It’s a perfect blend of stewed pork, offal, tofu, and baked flatbread, all simmered in a rich, savory broth. It brought back so many memories. Definitely worth the trip!

I mean the service and atmosphere was good. But the food was quite disappointing. The pork was low quality, and the chicken didn’t taste good either. All dishes we ordered taste like full of MSG instead of proper seasoning. Also, they charge an additional 10% service charge.

Went in with friends while visiting Brighton. It was very busy at dinner time. We waited a while for our table. Dishes came rather quickly and wow this is a very authentic Chinese restaurant run by a lovely family. The big plate chicken is better than the ones I tried in London. And other dish give me the Feeling that I’m in Beijing! My son loved their home made noodle and dumplings. Definitely will come back every time I come to Brighton.

Wow. What an incredible find. Unassuming but so authentic, this is a gem. Just wish more Chinese restaurants served food like this. The waiter is really helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Only to happy to explain and help. If you’re looking for Anglicised Chinese food then this isn’t the place for you. If you want proper authentic Northern Chinese food then this IS for you. Beautiful food. We tried the Gungbao chicken, sirloin beef in soy, green beans with pork, and their homemade noodles (simply Devine). Every time I come to Brighton now I will be coming here. And so should you!
