Very talented chefs! Brioche is to die for, perfectly paired with the in house made butter. Scallops were cooked to perfection The goats cheese and beetroot was amazing Thoroughly enjoyed the venison and pigeon And the almond tart was a gorgeous ending to the meal Every single bit was perfection!

Lovely little restaurant with a high end feel. Sat outside in the garden area and was offered a blanket when temperature started to drop. Great duck cookery on the main course and glad we got a chance to visit.

Lovely restaurant, we had a fantastic meal for 4, every dish was a triumph. The staff were attentive but not overbearing. Only slightly annoying that the menu online is different to what was in-house - we had to reconsider our options! We were sat near the front of the restaurant, which was nice to be able to watch the world go by, but I felt a little separated from the rest of the diners, and couldn't see the chefs at work from our angle. Would definitely come again for a treat dinner.

I had a fantastic lunch today, the food was just amazing no faults at all. The service was attentive but not too pushy. The staff are all very knowledgeable and helpful. Highlight of the meal for me was definitely the starter the sea bream was beautifully cooked and the garnish was balance wonderfully. My girlfriends highlight was the dry aged ribeye cooked to perfection rare by the chef. We shared a very nice and light coconut bavarois which ended the meal perfectly. Only flaw was the noisy heater! I love this restaurant and cannot recommend it enough!

What a lovely meal. All 3 courses were great. Thought the portions were spot on, just the right amount. Great classic flavours with some little twists. The effort put in for gravy, for Sunday's roast is awesome! (Started on a Tuesday) Definitely booking for that in the near future.

The food was very good. The staff were very attentive. Only negative, was the bright lightening at the counter seats. And the overall price, was the same as our favourite London restaurant, however overall vibe fell a little short in comparison. Would certainly recommend and would visit again.

We had a delicious lunch and a lovely bottle of wine here. The service was very efficient and friendly, and our waiter knew a lot about the food and the wine list. We had the salmon and goats cheese starters, both were great. And for our main we had the sea bass risotto and the roast ox tail on mash potato. The portions were pretty big, so we didn't quite make it to desert! We had a bottle of the cotes de rhone (red), which was delicious. The atmosphere was pleasant and the decor was very light.

Sitting at the pass is a real pleasure, watching the young and talented team create lovely food. They cook with a smile and obviously enjoy what they are doing which comes across in the dish. This place is well worth a trip to Lewes alone.

Went to Lewes for a day while visiting Brighton, and found this hidden gem of a restaurant. For 30£ per person you can't find many three course meals this good in the UK. Cauliflower Veloute was so soothing and great for the cold weather. The Squash Risotto and the Fish were amazing + large which made as share the dessert afterwards, which was great too! Last but not the least, sitting at the bar and watching them cook was great and gave us ideas for our own Cauliflower Mash!

Absolutely stunning food and really lovely little restaurant, doing something very special in Lewes. The menu is small, but the chef clearly takes pride in making sure it's executed perfectly, from the taste down to the presentation. My partner and I went for 2 courses, plus a cocktail and some wine, everything we had was delicious. As well as the beautiful quality of the food, the staff were very welcoming and attentive. I'm looking forward to return time and time again. Keep doing what you're doing!
