   Had a fabulous experience at this brasserie today . We were a party of six but when we turned up the place was very busy . The man in charge said " no problem , come back in 10 minutes and I'll sort you out" . 10 minutes later and we returned to find he had sorted us out with a table for six as promised. The man had a lovely way about him and we had a bit of fun chatting to him . Food was ordered,supplied and consumed . There was a good choice of dishes available we were all more than happy with the food . Lovely surroundings, decent food at reasonable prices and the man in charge ensured that we had an enjoyable and memorable meal . I'll definitely go back there again .

   Had a lovely visit to The Brasserie. Wonderful service with a smile (and a pinch of humour). Food was tasty and good portions. The atmosphere was very nice, with rays of sunshine cascading through the roof sunlights.

   Lovely upstairs cafe, views of the river and shopping street. Always a good experience here, everything made fresh too. Expect to queue for a few minutes at busy times. One of my favourite haunts all year round.

   Absolutely outstanding service, I was served by a charming lady who catered to all of my needs as I am Gluten Free. (Their carrot cake was amazing by the way!) I was also informed a number of the cakes are home-made! How amazing is that?!?

   Staff are friendly, service ok Burger wasn't even from downstairs (I asked the butcher) - why would you not use Nose2Tail's (local Sussex beef and absolutely stunning) burgers from a few metres away!? HUGE letdown and I won't be back - if it was home made from local mince - let me know but the waiter didn't have a clue, OR was trying to cover up the fact it was just a generic cheap frozen burger from a giant national catering supplier.. Clear this up and I will gladly edit the review but this is not decent business practice in a small foodie town surrounded by fantastic farms and suppliers - it was a bland and boring overpriced plate of brunch

   Highly recommend for a private event! We held our drinks/canapés reception at the Brasserie after getting married up the road at the registry office. I cannot express enough how happy we were with Gaz (owner) and the team and the efforts they made to make our day extra special. Especially with all of the issues of trying to plan a wedding during covid restrictions, it was a breath of fresh air that this part of planning went smoothly and they kindly went out of their way to add all of the special touches we wanted. Incredibly helpful, collaborative and easy throughout the planning process, and the service and food on the day were absolutely perfect. The atmosphere at the Riverside Brasserie itself is light and bright, and we were able to decorate, but it didn't need much as the space itself is special. Gaz and team, thanks again for all your efforts and gracious hosting - we'd recommend you to anyone. Lindsay & Andy

   We stumbled across this fabulous place this morning - all 5 hungry adults plus 2 toddlers. We didn’t have a booking but were welcomed in nonetheless and the food and service can’t be faulted. The English breakfast was delicious - fresh, beautifully cooked and plentiful. We were even given a colouring book, pens and reading books to keep the small ones happy, and it worked! Thank you so much for a thoroughly enjoyable experience and we will definitely be coming back regularly!
