The food was exceptional. Everything we ate was full of flavour infact explosions of flavours, beautifully presented and had the wow factor! Service was great too. The music was slightly too loud on the day we went and the chairs could be slightly more comfortable. Also when on a table for two, with the plates of food system, there isn't enough room on the table- felt a bit cramped.

I've just been to food orgasmic heaven and back. The place looks small, cosy and unassuming from the outside, but once the food arrives you realise you're in the hands of people who really care. The chalkboard menu tells you everything you need to know: seasonal, fresh, and clearly changing regularly. Every dish was bold, creative and well thought through. The flavour and texture combinations were unlike anything else. Hats off to the chef's of this kitchen. Highlights for us: the ox tongue on a Marmite crumpet (outrageous), the skate wing with warm tartare (Though I'd happily skip the fried scampi and oyster next time—they were a bit oily and not as fresh as the rest.), the venison and black pudding Scotch egg, and the oysters and grilled was unique experience. If I had more room, I’d have ordered the entire menu. Can’t wait to go back and try more. Some of the best food I've ever had

The food is excellent...when it finally comes! We were a party of four and first in the restaurant. We were told that the food would probably not come out all at the same time, however, when three of us had finished our meals and the waitress was asking if everything had been OK we had to inform her that one of our party had still not eaten! She said she would chase the meal up but by then the restaurant was full and all the other tables were still being served their meals before us. It was really poor and ruined the evening. It was also pretty embarrassing for one of our party.

This is what all the fuss is about. Special occasion Sunday brunch… doesn’t get much more special or delicious. Amazing value. The fish pie unlike anything we’d had anywhere, rhubarb crumble… literally everything was taken to a whole new level. Perfect for intimate meal or family get together. Very generous servings. Will be back

High quality, inventive plates. The host was really friendly and accommodating without being overbearing and the food was varied and interesting. Overall it was excellent value for the quality. Branding choice is a bit strange and the space could be more cosy but all in all it was our highlight in Lewes.

Very interesting and delicious plates and friendly, efficient service. The ox tongue croquettes, cured trout and pear pie were to die for.

Amazing and it is absolutely worth a detour. The ratio of what you pay to the quality of food and service most be in the top 50 in the UK. Prices are friendly considering the quality holds up to Michelin level. The chef came out and explained the meals at our request/interest and one could tell that the whole staff are passionate about their offerings. I highly recommend it.

So excited to have this restaurant in Lewes. Stumbled across it by luck and quickly made a second booking. Food is insanely delicious and innovative, and it’s a super friendly atmosphere with flawless service. Worth noting there is something for everyone, a veggie option in every section. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Four of us enjoyed a stunning meal at this new restaurant. The small plates and sharing platters were all delicious and beautifully prepared & presented. Lovely, friendly service and, for the quality of food on offer, reasonably priced. A real treat.
