The menu and vibe had completely changed and sadly not for the better. For a French restaurant or even inspired as it is now, there was a massive lack of garlic from the bread to the food. The calamari was just bog standard served on paper, it used to be our favourite. I feel link the finesse and quality had gone but the prices appeared to be the same or even higher. Really disappointing as we used to love cote. Service was good as normal

We have just had a lovely lunch in Cote in the quaint town of Lewes. Food was delicious especially as we were able to replace the triple cooked chips with gratin potatoes. We only had the two course lunch menu but the desserts looked delicious as well but decided to pass this time. Service was excellent and the time between courses was ideal, coffee is really good and quite substantial. We rated this as a really good lunch in a lovely restaurant, thank you.

We fell in love with the Côte chain in Wokingham and have visited a number of sites since. The Lewes site is no exception to the rule. Staff excellent and so happy to be able to assist (my wife uses a mobility aid), service prompt and efficient. The food is always excellent and served hot as it should be, there is a good choice of wines and other drinks to accompany your food. Access is level from the pavement snd all the tables are on this level, disabled toilet and baby change on same level, main toilets downstairs.

Fantastic experience!! If you are looking for some quiet time in a beautifully presented restaurant this is the place to go. We went for breakfast and the whole experience was superb. Bacon was cooked to perfection with the French toast and the spinach was definitely cooked with something that gave it a home cooked meal taste. The staff were friendly and very informative about the area. I looked at the dinner menu which offered plenty of traditional French cuisine. Highly recommend Côte. If we weren’t travelling through I would definitely have been back to try dinner.

We celebrated our son and future daughter in-laws engagement here. The staff were brilliant and treated them to a glass of bubbles and cute congratulations motif on their desserts. It was great to have an exclusive little room to ourselves and we felt unhurried and relaxed. Thank you

Dinner for 3 for 100 quid, but the broccoli was stone cold, the steak lukewarm and the chocolate fondant just tepid. I should have said something at the time but then Cote, please serve hot food, hot! Still like the place, just a bit disappointed…

After a near 2hr wait at a nearby pub which never brought us any food, we booked this venue for Sunday lunch, with 5mins notice and on arrival immediately loved the vibe here, we’re treated superbly, super relaxed and extremely well run. The food was delicious and we will totally be back whenever in Lewes… thank you so much for rescuing our Sunday lunch Cote Brasserie

I had been visiting friends and they told me that a table had been booked.we arrived early and were happy to wait. We were treated by smartly dressed polite members of staff who willingly accommodated or needs food orders drinks arrived. Linen napkins and beautifully clean cutlery. One of my friends remarked on how good the coffee was and ordered a second one. Myself choosing tea ginger and something. It was delicious and the teapot was beautifully proportioned. Breakfast arrived the butter was generous jam and marmalade in individual jars. Sadly the English breakfast was very disappointing bacon had been left to long on the plate and was a touch leathery. The sausage was small and overcooked. Poached eggs were adiquate.the sour dough toast was very good but each slice(2)were very small. I ordered another serving. The bathroom for those with mobility needs was on the same level this was very helpful. One of our party remarked that you needed a route map to find the toilet that they used. I chose not to say anything about my breakfast as I was a guest. On reflection what we received for the price paid was disappointing.cote your chef let you down.

Handsome staff. This place is best to call ahead and get reservations, but will take walk in if they have availability. Food and service outstanding. Reasonable priced for the quality you get.
