I ordered a chicken burger and was really impressed. It arrived so quickly, was piping hot, delicious, and really well packaged. I’ll definitely be ordering again!
Nice convenient spot for a bite to eat, just opposite Lewes station. £5 for a cheeseburger, tasted great and fresh. The man serving me was very friendly and chatty.
We've ordered from here a few times now, and honestly, it's the best take away in Lewes!! Arrives quickly, always hot, portions are generous and everything is tasty. Has been consistently good! Always get a little bag of napkins, salt, pepper and wooden cutlery which is a nice touch. Delivery driver always friendly too.
He said he could cook the chicken in 6 or 7 minutes but it took 10 and I missed the train.
This restaurant opened in July 2025. Any reviews from before then are for the old sandwich shop not the burger takeaway restaurant. My family ordered burgers, fries, and onion rings this week. I ordered online which was easy and everything was ready for us in 15min. The staff were friendly and we could pay in cash even though we ordered online (there were cashless options too). The food was tasty, well portioned, and well packed. The fries were good and a large was plenty for 3 people. The batter on the onion rings was tasty too.
Bought double espresso £2.00 and pastry £2.50. Charged £6.90. When I said it should be £4.50 I was told “ prices have gone up and I didn’t have time to change the coffee prices” so I am meant to believe a double espresso has gone from £2 to £3.90 and she didn’t have time to alter the price ??? After questioning she gave my money back … I think the truth is she is pocketing the money unbeknownst to the owner !
Delicious bread, bacon cooked to order and actually leaving the tea to brew before adding the milk has cemented Daisy's sandwich bar as the perfect breakfast spot before setting off from Lewes Station.
Daisys sandwich bar is a lovely place always works for me especially when I’m in a rush! Ur her food is absolutely amazing! I get a bacon,Brie&cranberry baguette and it is to die for! Five stars all the way :) xx
Absolutely stellar service and food. I was in a hurry and needed two breakfast baps as god forbid I should cook for us before a long day of my husband and I teaching... The cash machine was broken and our lovely proprietor let me leave with my mere promise of depositing the money into the business account. I did so whilst eating the largest, most delicious breakfast bap I’ve ever had. Everything, to include the fresh bread, was top quality. Highly recommend.
Personal, cheerful service, freshly-made sandwiches to order if they're not already in the cabinet for you, and a place to leave information about local businesses and events. One of the things I most look forward to, when walking to the station to catch a train, is a breakfast sandwich from Daisy's. A selection of sweet and savoury treats is also available.
