My favourite Indian takeaway in Brighton. Reasonably priced and consistently fast service and good quality food. highly recommend the mixed starter and chicken tikka passanda, but they have a large menu that is full of classics which are also great.

Exceptional cuisine where the dishes are infused with great blends of spices and herbs. Piping hot as well. Would highly recommend. Ps: I loved the unexpected cola chewits given to my son.

Walking past at 5.30pm, on a random midweek evening, realised that it might be the only Indian takeaway place within a ten minute walk that I've never been a customer of. Spur of the moment, impulse decision, decided to change that. Extensive menu in the window, and inside is a counter behind which is a nice looking open kitchen, all solid commercial burners, ovens and warming cabinets. I ordered a Chicken Dhansak (rice included), Sag Paneer and Onion bajhee, total cost was £18.80, which for a takeaway/delivery joint was a couple of quid more than I expected. The rice came out of a hot cabinet, normal practice on a Friday night i imagine but since I was probably the days first punter, I don't know when it went in there or how long it had been in there. Curry was really tasty, hot, thick dhansak sauce, just how I like it, enjoyed it immensely. The two sides were a bit disappointing, sadly. The (boss) chef obviously knows his stuff and without doubt carries the business. Although I felt something was lacking, that curry was good enough for me to try again, maybe a later time on a different day next time. I've had better, I've had worse, but l'm convinced that I should be back another day.

This is a brilliant curry house. I’ve been using it since it opened and it never disappoints. The staff are very friendly and it’s interesting to watch the chefs at work.

We’ve been here twice. Just what a local should be plus great food. The service is outstanding here and it’s clearly a real priority. Will be back again very soon. Very local, great people, great food. Well done folks!

The Walrus was nice & quiet last weekend, so we ordered some food. I thought the vegan Moving Mountain burger sounded great so that is what i ordered. Service was efficient - everyone is really helpful, but it was very quiet so the staff kept coming to make sure everything was ok. My burger came in a brioche bun & was served with avocado, lettuce, tomato & a side of fries. The burger tasted very strange - it had a really nasty aftertaste. Not sure that the was down to the Walrus or if this is what a Moving Mountain burger actually tastes like? Not a nice flavour at all. Would not order again.

Easily the best curry in Brighton. Absolutely lovely lot, so kind, warm and personable. They evidently take an immense pride in what they do. Fairly priced (rice and poppadoms included) and the option to have white fish with all curry options felt a delight for this pescetarian who can feel relegated to some takeaway menus' corners. Won't hesitate to order from here again. Their driver was lovely, wishing us a happy new year, which after this decadent feed, it certainly is. Great curry: don't hesitate.

Such a brilliant place. AMAZINGLY fresh, clean, shiny and spacious feel. …. my partner and I both LOVED sitting + watching all the team doing their careful and precise thing, like family together… so Present each of them… and smiley, playful. Bangladeshi brilliance. (I think they’re from Bangladesh, sorry if not….). Anyway awesome culture going on there. 100% RECOMMEND and food was DELICIOUS! 2nd visit to these guys.. and DEFINITELY 100% will be going again.
