   Ordered to collect 2 weeks ago on a Friday . Collected on time and had to wait 5-10 mins before it was ready, drove home and half my food was very cold. Immediately WhatsApp messaged the restaurant about this and kindly asked for a refund only for the cold items of food (half the whole meal) and they said they would get back to me. Had to chase this up until the Monday and had a reply saying they would need to check the time it was paid for / check cameras of kitchen to see if it was prepared on time and asked for a picture of my food (thankfully I did!). At this point I just felt like I was under an investigation? I then hear nothing for the next 4 days which makes it exactly a week since I ordered. I chase it up again. They said they will only refund me for the rice and chicken satay but not my main meal (pad Thai) because according to them it was prepared to ‘standard’ and they have to protect their staff. They again refused to refund me for this so after paying for a £42 meal of which 50% of it was cold I was refunded £12 which I had to chase up continuously over a week. Bad service, poor communication , no respect for customers, and damn right greedy. The pad Thai was my main meal which I explained was cold , surely you should respect and believe the customer not the camera of when you saw it be prepared , bare in mind we had to wait when we arrived on time to collect? Do not waste your time complete waste of money in my opinion.

   Had my first visit to The Hungry Monkey this evening and it will definitely not be my last. The food was amazing and plentiful, the staff really friendly, service fab, and all at a very reasonable price for such fantastic quality. Lovely intimate venue with only 5 tables so would recommend booking in advance. I will definitely be reccomending to family and friends.

   We celebrated my husband's birthday here. We had a portion of Red Bull Fried Chicken, a portion of Sweet Corncakes, and two Prawn Padthai. All the food was so delicious and the staff was so kind! We paid £40 in total. We will definitely come back!

   I don't usually leave reviews but I feel this place deserves all the love. Amazing food and service :) I love this place, the food is stunning and very authentic!!! Thank you for all the good dinners and for always being so kind. Must try if you haven't been here before.

   We decided to visit the Station pub as it is our closest pub on foot. We booked a table to eat for 7:00. Although it wasn’t very busy we were given a table right by the side of the bar which unfortunately meant that as one of the staff passed us whilst clearing another table my jacket got a big lump of mayonnaise. Luckily it was a leather jacket. Accidents happen and I didn’t mention this to the staff. We ordered fish and chips and asked if we could possibly have a green salad instead of the mushy peas and we were told it wasn’t a problem and yes we could. When the fish and chips arrived it was fine, nothing to complain about there. However the salad portions were served in extremely small pots, presumably the ones used for the mushy peas. By the third mouthful we had no salad left and ordered more salad which arrived at the end of our meal and for which we were charged. I would have preferred to be told that salad could not be served with our meal. Having said that my main issue with our evening at the Station was that although it was not busy at all when we arrived it took 45 minutes for our food to arrive, by then we were halfway through our second drink. I wonder if the wait was deliberate to ensure we would have another drink. An altogether rather disappointing experience and the bill came to £48.73.

   We picked up our first takeaway on recommendation, we were both very impressed with our food, authentic, fresh and extremely tasty. The best Pad Thai I have eaten outside of Thailand, great value adds to our very pleasant experience. A little gem in Shoreham.

   Food was amazing!! Best padthai we’ve had in all of Brighton. The vegetable tempura was amazing. And the dim sums were so tasty, would 100% try. The green and red curry’s were also delicious (although a bit spicy). The atmosphere was so lovely, and the staff was so friendly and welcoming. Can’t recommend enough.
