Tonight we had cod and chips and it was delicious. The batter was crispy, the fish moist and perfectly cooked and the chips were delicious. All in all we were verY impressed with the quality and friendly staff. Thank you.
My chips and battered sausage were fine, but could have been a bit crispier. It took about 20 mins to get my food even when it wasn't busy, which is over average in my experience. Prices were decent.
My partner and I bought some fish and chips for dinner from here last night and boy we were not disappointed. During my three years living here I've found you absolutely have to search ti fine good fish and chips which is crazy in a seaside city BUT this place has never disappointed. Despite ordering delivery our food still arrived piping hot and exactly as ordered, the chips i had were delicious and my partner loved his fish (he had to eat it in two parts because it was so huge!!) Also their spring rolls are so yummy and such a brilliant alternative to a battered sausage. I was surprised at how delicious this was as you dont expect a chippy to sell spring rolls. Overall: yumyum.
Seems like mostly a takeaway place, very limited seating inside. My wife and I stopped by for our first fish & chip experience in the UK. It was great! Unlike the places down on the beach in Brighton you couldn’t smell semi-rancid oil from a block away. Everything here was fresh and clean. Our fish was cooked to order and the portions were much larger that expected. We are in town for three weeks, and we will definitely return.

Just bought a portion of chips from Seagull on way back from Archery shoot in Hove. Best chips I've had in years! And I was brought up in Yorkshire and Liverpool! Delicious lightly fried firm chips. And a very generous portion. Will come back for the fish as well v soon!
Ordered via deliveroo, order arrived hot and on time, first time ordering and was pleased that my order notes were read and I got exactly what I asked for. Only few downsides was my plaice and gravy I don't think that the plaice was fresh as it had a very fishy smell to it which was off putting so after a few bites I had to bin it. Also the gravy was quite lumpy, not well mixed through so some parts watery and others thick. Which was a real shame and waste of money. However everything else I had ordered was very nice. Thankyou for your response, however as far as I'm aware, fish should not smell "fishy" even when fresh it does not have a strong fish smell.
We ordered via Uber Eats and the food arrived quickly and was still piping hot! The batter is thin, crispy and not greasy at all. All in all, great food at a great price.
