OK. Fish batter was spot on. Crispy bottom and large chunks of tender juicy cod. Chips were moderate. A bit tasteless but enough to fill the average size persons appetite. However when ordering a large Cod(and why not it's only Β£1 more) at least make it one fish. Not one medium and a bit of another!! Curry sauce was a bit disapointing a bit runny and ran off chips when dipped. No real heat or sweetness and lacked that fruity flavour. It also took an astounding 20 minutes from order to serve and I was first in line at 1200. ( if you open at 12 at least be ready to cook and serve by 12) staff very friendly though which was nice. Overall portrays a tradional chip shop. And it's in the right place. However needs a bit more. Suggest...wooden sports. Add your own salt and vinegar, better serving boxes. Dare I say it....proper fat for proper chips. Would I eat again...yes

My Cod was great but the chips were only OK, Large cod was definitely worth it as it was massive. I'm glad I only ordered regular chips as they weren't the best sadly. They gave me a lemon with my fish and chips which I haven't seen before when I've ordered, so liked that detail. Has seating outside so you can order and eat outside but it isn't far from the Shoreham Pebble beach.

Best fish & chips!!!!!! Sauces are too expensive though, I heard other customers complaining about it too while waiting outside until my order was ready to collect….

Modern, high quality design and fittings, well lit and clean. No strong fish smells. Excellent signage inside friendly and efficient staff. Takes cash and contactless payments. No seats inside. Strong well built easy access bench seating ( don’t have to lift your leg over to sit) 4 of them on pavement in front of shop. Wheelchair accessible. No toilets. No dedicated shop litter bins outside or inside you can use council ones close by. Good value, freshly cooked generous portions. A good varied menu well displayed with some photos and prices. We paid Β£12 large haddock with chips. Limited free street parking, with a pay Car Park close by. Highly recommend takeaway or if nice weather on seats outside. A good find off the main car/bus routes.

So glad we found Middleton’s. We’ve eaten at a lot of fish and chip shops through the years and this has to be one of the best. Batter nice and crispy, fish fresh and cooked to perfection. Chips really nice and none of it greasy. For sim and chips by the sea the price was lower than expected. Would have given 6 stars if I could.

A takeaway-only fish and chip shop offering alternatives (like chicken burgers, sausages, savaloy, kids meals). Popular, so there's a queue sometimes. Probably best to call ahead.

Excellent chips, big portions, friendly people serving. The only thing missing from the menu are veggie spring rolls.
