Had an excellent dining experience on a Sunday evening. Lovely attentive staff. Engaging and polite. And truly excellent food! I had a chef speciality chicken dish that was pretty hot, I could feel it on my lips for a good while after. All the dishes ordered were very good but the highlight for the meal was the garlic naan! It’s rare to find places that make them fresh and this was as fresh as you can get it. Well recommend dining in. Ask for Riyad

A very warm welcome set the tone of tasteful dishes and a lovely atmosphere. I ordered a veggie chart, butter chicken with boiled rice, yoghurt and side salad. Very filling and fresh. Pavel was sincere, kind and genuine. You could feel the passion in the service. Will definitely visit again.

A really delicious meal on the way to a gig this evening . We went for Marug Kursan which was really lovely with a mustardy and fresh green chilli heat and a lovely tang, and chicken jalfrezi which was also good with lots of fresh onions and peppers. The chicken was really good quality and cooked perfectly. The rice is lovely and fluffy. Service is very good too with a very friendly waiter. Lovely music and a great feel to the place. We were in very early so quiet but my co diner tells me it gets super busy! Definitely recommend..

We had the good fortune of stumbling across this wonderful restaurant this week. Pavel is a delightful find and an absolute must.. Our Host Forid gave us a warm welcome from the start. .. Charming decor, great food .. The best ever onion bhaji ... (I say this as one who has travelled a lot in Kerala and Sri-lanka ) Trust me... A simple onion bhaji can be yuk or it can the most perfect of mouthfuls, this was definitely the latter ! All the food was delightful . We cannot wait to return next time we are in Brighton... Give yourself a treat ... And Thank you again Forid for your thoughtful and efficient service... Pammy & Paul

A very disappointing experience. We ordered a lot of food and a wide range of dishes but, like the other review says, all of it was uniformly bland and tasteless. It was like they forgot to put any spice or seasoning or really anything into it. It all tasted exactly the same - like water. I don't think they've tasted Indian food before, let alone cooked it. The lamb "tikka masalla" was the worst - the sauce appeared to be korma sauce with red food colouring in it and it was 1% meat. They literally delivered a box of sauce with a few tiny pieces of meat floating in it. Unacceptable quality. Had we been eating in the restaurant, the entire meal would have gone back for a refund. Will not be eating here again and I'd urge anyone considering it to go elsewhere.

Big family reunion. We got the big table in the bay window of the first floor restaurant, and it’s a good table. We’re there for Sunday lunch, so standard roast dinner. Well cooked. Huge quantities, which left nobody hungry. An enjoyable lunch

Has a nice atmosphere however the options for vegetarians and vegans were very limited (only a couple of options) and the vegan burger was very basic. Could easily be improved by expanding the menu especially as Brighton is usually so vegan friendly.

It was a Sunday night so we were the only ones, however they had a lot of takeaway orders coming through. Food was excellent, highly recommend the dansak. Staff were friendly and attentive without the feeling of being watched.

I’ve added a picture of the butter chicken we ordered. As you can clearly see this was just water chicken instead. The other thing we ordered was vindaloo which was nothing like one. It was hot, but none of the stuff you might expect in Goa. They also had sticky floors. I can’t imagine why. Terrible red flag, should have stepped out the minute we noticed that. PS: I’m from India
