    Went in March on a Saturday evening. Was very quiet, had delicious food. From the excellent selection of Rakia to the baklava to the cheese board to the Balkan Gyuveche in a pot, it was amazing. Highly recommended for trying something new and delicious! If you go, get some of the Rakia

    Lovely restaurant offering traditional Bulgarian food and drinks. Cosy atmosphere in traditional Bulgarian style and music. The waters are dressed in traditional costumes. Rich menu with pictures, depicting most of the dishes (in addition to the description). Absolutely delicious and high quality food and drinks from a region in South Europe, which is not known well in the UK - the Balkans. Reasonably priced. Strongly recommended.

    Hands down the best Bulgarian meal I’ve had outside of Bulgaria. Went to Donchevi Kitchen & Bar today with my other half for lunch. As I’m from Bulgaria, I always wanted to share my cuisine but previous attempt have not been successful due to lack of quality original Bulgarian ingredients or chef abilities. This restaurant on the other hand tasted like home. We had kufteta, shopska salad, mousakka, parlenka and chips with Bulgarian cheese. Everything was not only authentic but also delicious. I loved it so much I had to ask for takeaway bag to take some home. I definitely recommend the restaurant to both Bulgarians and to everyone keen to try something different which they will enjoy. My partner is a bit picky with their food as they are British and tend to go with Italian food or British but they loved it too.

    I went here after they donated a voucher for charity night, which I was lucky enough to win. I've never had Bulgarian food before, but my god the food was ridiculously good, and hands down the best cheesy garlic bread that has ever graced my mouth. Staff were incredibly friendly too and made good recommendations on what to order. Would highly recommend going here for food.

    Simple warm traditional Bulgarian cuisine. Genuine tastes with folk music and decor. Unfortunately we visited off season (February weekday) so the menus was limited and the oven was out of order. The kindness of the people and the warmth of the hospitality made up for that. Thank you!
