Me and my wife went for date night after hearing good things from friends. We was not disappointed! The food was excellent and the service was second to non. Highly recommend and we will be returning soon
We didn't stay here so I can't give any stars on that. Sorry. We came for lunch as it's Norfolk restaurant week We chose the starter of fig with Binham blue and walnuts. It was excellent. I chose a orzo pasta dish with feta as my main. It was tasty. My wife chose a salmon dish. Also excellent I chose the smoked Lincolnshire poacher as my dessert. (Cheese) Oooo..... Nice toilets The pub goes back to the 17th century. The beer is provided by LACONS; a Norfolk brewery based in Yarmouth.
We visited The Honingham Buck during Norfolk Restaurant Week (November). It was excellent all round - staff were friendly and efficient, the food was delicious and at excellent value. There were also a variety of vegetarian dishes to choose from which was appreciated! Great atmosphere, and although the room we were in was nearly much full - it wasn't too loud. We would happily visit again in future.
Perfect place as a base for visiting our daughter in Norwich. Room was fantastic and the shower was great too. My concerns about noise from the car park was unfounded, no problems at all. The cooked breakfast was fantastic, we will be coming back!
Haven't been here for ages but decided to visit with friends. Great selection of beers if you like Lacon's beer as its a Lacon's pub. Food was great with reasonably priced menu and good selection. Service was really good, Not rushed but not ignored just how I like it. Suggest booking (we did ) as we went on a Saturday night and it was really busy.
First time visit, went for Sunday lunch. Friendly welcome, dining room was really nicely decorated. Food was superb, served at a nice pace - never felt rushed despite the pub being very busy. Will definitely be back!!
Last minute booking for a couple of rooms (literally booked online 20 mins before arriving). Really friendly staff. Super helpful. Rooms were great, nice and clean. Shower was amazing. Great value. Food was to die for, I had the pork belly. I don't like rhubarb. It came with rhubarb and now I do. Honestly can not recommend the food enough. My only criticism would be nice to have a shelf in the shower to put soap, etc on.
Such a lovely pub. Great food. Really lovely atmosphere. Slightly on the pricey side but you know you are gonna get a really great quality meal. We always come here for special occasions.
Excellent food, excellent staff and excellent ambiance. What an amazing meal we had. The service was spot on, checked we were ok and that everything was good, but not over the top. We live outside the area, so we took a chance. We had the crumble for after and it's definitely the best crumble I have had.
