   Everyone who served us were friendly and helpful. The fried rice and sambal belacan are my favorites. The fried vegetables are done just right - lightly fried and crunchy. Soups (we had hot and sour soup and a vegetable soup) are well balanced. They do Teh Tarik too! We had Malaysian laksa and Singapore fried bee hoon too but did not like it much. The laksa broth lacks flavour and the Singapore fried bee hoon is flavoured with curry powder which is not what we’ve expected. Overall, food is good. And if you are in Brighton and want a flavour of Malaysia, I would recommend it

   Last night (29 Aug 23) in Brighton, we decided to try the Malaysian Chinese Restaurant called Ho Chiak. It was a last minute holiday plan for my family to meet up with another family friends as they were holidaying there. This restaurant was just up the street from the airbnb that we rented. What a lucky find for us! The food was in great portion & most dishes come with rice. We ordered loads as we were hungry.The service was good. Very friendly staff. I chatted a little with the man who was serving us (I forgot his name but think he was the boss-man) He was from Ipoh & was so happy to see us. The lady (who look like the bigger-boss) was also very friendly & happy to serve. She even offered to take photo for us, hence the group photo. Drop by if you are in Brighton. So nice to see a homie & enjoy their food with Teh-tarik or Soya milk drink.. So lush!

   Simply levitated by the aroma,taste and Zein of the place. This place offers fresh, tasty Malaysian/pan asian food located on preston street. I ordered the malaysian laksa in soup which was made from udon noodles with seafood some veggies in a soup broth. The smell lit my brain and fueled my hunger. The food was piping hot and fresh and the taste was beyond yummy and fulfilled all my tastes including umami. The ambiance is very chill with nice relaxing background music, comfortable seating, clean toilettes and amazing location. Staff are so welcoming and friendly. Service speed is okey, the staff took a while to take my order but the time until food was served is acceptable given the food tasted and felt fresh. Prices are reasonable and affordable. Highly recommend!!

   I had a lovely meal there two days ago, a noodle soup with spicy broth and fish. Super delicious. Over the years I've eaten here many times, and its a place I keep coming back to. Most of the main dishes come with rice, the portions are generous. The service is friendly, fast and efficient. Their menu has a good selection of dishes including some less seen dishes like water boiled fish. The prices are very reasonable. Overall highly recommended.

   5 stars all round! We recently moved to Brighton and Ho Chiak is definitely one of the best Brighton Asian food restaurants in the area. Taste, portion sizes, value and service - perfect! Was looking for a place to dine with family and stumbled on the restaurant - a selection of great Asian dishes, traditional, more rarer items and dim sum. Super fresh! The best part is that the mains come with rice included; a rarity in any restaurant We've dined in about 4/5 times now, and had a few takeaways. Both have been excellent - really friendly, polite and chatty staff. The owner is really hospitable and welcoming; it's got a warm, family feel! Honesly don't understand these reviews Recommend: The curry. So good! The porridge (congee) is great too; massive portions and great for the colder weather. Top up your meal with steamed egg buns. HEAVENLY. I don't think they're on Ubereats/Deliveroo etc - so it's one you'd need to pop by for; but well worth it! Location wise - a great spot! Near the seafront and also the main shopping hub of Western road; plus close to bars/desert places too. Totally recommended, easy 5/5 stars and will be back for more!

   Had a lovely meal here last night, food was fresh, tasty and generous portions. The resturant offers value for money, plain rice is included with most mains, or you can pay for a larger portion of egg fried rice, which was plentyfull. All the staff were super friendly and we felt very welcome. We will come back again, next time we visit Brighton. Recomended
