ordered a takeaway delivery, waited 2 1/2 hours, called them several times and they kept telling us the delivery was 10 minuets every time. they stopped picking up the phone and were not helpful at all. all of this for the food to not even turn up.

Absolutely delicious food! This place was recommended to me via Reddit. As it is local to me I ordered it for takeaway and was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. The dry Szechuan chicken was my favourite and the sesame prawn toast. This is now on the top of my list for best Chinese takeaway in Brighton! 5/5!!

What has happened?? This was my go-to home delivery and I have been away for a while and was so looking forward to my meal. BUT My chicken chow mein was tasteless with no soy sauce on the dry noodles. I have never had so bad. I also had french beans in garlic....a massive favourite before...and no garlic taste just a watery gravy. Soooo disappointed. Will not order again.

Best Chow Mein I've had in a long time. Szechuan Pork was disappointing - and not spicy!! But As they Offer some menu items not commonly available elsewhere, will be ordering a second delivery sometime as the litmus test to decide if there's a third or not. Expected 10, got 6 or 7 - which is a win for a lot of places but I'm pretty sure that there's more to be had with Gu Xiang Ju. Special Chow mein, szechuan Pork, vegetable spring roll set (and salt and pepper chips... sorry...)

I ordered salt and pepper chicken and salt and pepper chips along with egg fried rice. Everything was so so salty, way more than is normal. It was inedible because of how salty it is.

Best Chinese takeaway In Brighton, without a doubt! (And we have tried quite a few) Non greasy, great tasting authentic Chinese food. Loved our complementary little glass bottles of coke too.... Definitely worth paying that little bit extra for this one. Highly recommended.

Best Asian food I have ever ordered in Brighton and I’ve been here for more than 12 years! Fresh ingredients = fresh tasty food!! Highly recommend! Also ignore the 2 star comment on here.. clearly not the takeaways fault if they can’t deliver to your address.. leave your review with just eat!!

If it was based on food I’d deffo give it 5 stars however! Based on service and delivery it’s a two! Even tho you pay just eat to deliver it, if no one else in your area has ordered you won’t get a delivery. Bad business I think! We have tried to order for 3 people for the last 3 Saturdays in a row to no avail! Chinese food isn’t cheap so they’ve turned away a minimum of £150 in just 3 weeks even tho delivery is paid for by me? Confused. Clearly don’t need the money! Won’t ordering again moving forward .

Hands down the best Chinese I have had in Brighton. Everything comes in really good packaging, lovely little round dishes that you can recycle. Tastes amazing! I would recommend the pork dumplings, chow mein and the crispy shredded beef. They also gave us some free prawn crackers and coke! The lady delivering it is also lovely!
