Five star cake and pastry! I got my birthday cake from open bakery ordered by my wife. Cake was very good texture with refreshing taste decorated with Berries. Can’t love it more. Coffee was nice. Staffs were welcoming!

The vegan tiramisu is to die for!! So decadent, creamy and rich, yet it’s light and has the perfect amount of sweetness. It cost £4.70 per piece which is slightly pricey but totally worth it for this level of craftsmanship. I wish they did more vegan options! The only other option was Eccles cake which didn’t seem appetising. I had initially visited their Queens Park location but they don’t stock the tiramisu which was super disappointing, would be great if it was available at all sites. Will be ordering an entire slab off their online website next time, it’s a must have for all vegans visiting Brighton!

Absolutely delicious pastries! There was quite the line in the morning (understandably so), so I had plenty of time to choose what I wanted. Went for an almond pastry with raspberries and it was divine. The coffee was also great and refreshing!

A little over 7£ for two pastries. We got almond croissant and a fruit danish, both tasted divine. Theres a layer of what tastes like evaporated milk in the middle of the pastry layers which elevates them to the next level. Very impressed.

They bake everything on-site daily, with a huge range of breads and sweet treats. The aroma floods the street when they’re working late at night. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. It's a great place to grab a coffee and a pastry, or to stock up on fresh bread. Indoor seating is limited, but this is more of a grab-and-go kinda place. I love getting breakfast from here before going to uni. Also, prices are slightly above average, but the quality justifies the cost in my opinion. Overall, Open Bakery is a fantastic bakery in Kemptown. They offer delicious baked goods, a welcoming atmosphere, and a true taste of artisan baking. I’m so lucky to live next to this place, highly recommend!

Best coffee in Brighton. Unreal. Also the staff are unreal too - the negative reviews can get binned.

I recently attended a really enjoyable macaron making class at the Open Bakery Cookery School in Kemp Town. Our teacher Bianka was fantastic and she taught us how to make really professional looking tasty macarons. The whole afternoon was a delight and I came away buzzing. Highly recommended.
