Absolutely amazing food, drinks, service and atmosphere! Took my mum out for girls night and we can’t wait visit again soon, will certainly be bringing friend next time too, keep up the great work guys :)
Ruth & Ike run a great little pub. We pulled off the A50 for a quick bite, we both ordered the burger (delicious) and had a paddle to try the three Joules beers on tap (excellent and well kept). The pub was clean, welcoming and very friendly. We aren't locals but I'll definitely make a beeline for this pub given the opportunity.
To say the Sunday lunch was good would be an understatement. Plenty of meat, vegetables cooked the way I love them, oceans of gravy. The only issue was the impossible to open condiment sachets, but the very friendly staff sorted that out for me. Apple and blackberry crumble lovely. Will be coming back soon
Called in for lunch as we where in the local area. Warm welcome was given, good food, pie was really good, service was great and good value. Nice traditional pub, we will be back next time we are in the area.
Waited over an hour for food to be served and other customers who arrived before us got served first. When food came out it was nice but some items were cold. Portion size was average. I expected better to be honest.
Having grown up in the area it has been many years since visiting the butchers Arms. I have to say I was really pleased and pleasantly surprised following my visit. There has been a lot of work to bring the pub up to a high standard. The pub is owned by joules brewery now and a wide range of quality real ales are sold. Food is also sold although I did not eat there. Clean and tidy environment with friendly staff.
