Just enjoyed a wonderful full English breakfast. Very reasonably priced. Freshly prepared using high quality ingredients. I cannot recall having tasted a better breakfast. The owner Victor cooks from scratch and is most welcoming. Even though I was just passing through I will make a point of coming back.
Although not eaten here yet except for the amazing portgese tart, people have raved about the food, all home made breads cakes ect, its spotless and friendly, well worth a visit
Just had Breakfast here and I really enjoyed it. It's been a while since I have been anywhere and enjoyed a meal as much as I just have. The service was second to none, lovely people. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived. First class home cooked fare 5 *****
Just like being in Portugal! Amazing food and atmosphere. Victor the owner was very welcoming and helpful. Fresh ingredients in the meal and freshly baked bread and cakes. 10/10
What a fantastic place! Second visit today in a month. Delicious Portuguese food that is cooked completely from fresh. Amazing customer service from Victor and Ana. This is probably the best quality food available in Newcastle. If you haven't been here and love good food you have to visit. There is a set menu but always a daily special on offer. The olives and bread are delicious as a side or starter. The speciality custard tarts are the nicest I've tasted. Portuguese beer is available too, Superbock,Sagres and Sagres Dark (which is my favourite). Definitely will be going back many times.
Visited the Windmill Cafe & Bistro and found a part of Portugal in Newcastle Under Lyme. The traditional cuisine is delicious. Lots of choice from gorgeous fish and meat dishes to a variety of just wonderful tapas bites, soup and loaves of freshly cooked traditional breads. Lovely atmosphere for relaxed eating. Owners genuine foodies and friendly.
