Not the usual experience today at the pub group. Served wine with a very dirty glass, had to ask for a replacement. We ordered three fish and chips that were usual standard, however the chilli beef was dry, looked and tasted like it had been cooked much earlier, worst I have had. Needs More attention.

From the greeting on arrival to the moment you leave this place is fabulous. The atmosphere is great, the staff friendly and attentive and the food and choice excellent. Highly recommend. 2 courses for 4 and drinks £135.

One of our group has very particular food intolerance and the staff here were so helpful. They did all they could to find a solution and we were so pleased, it made such a difference. The food is great and they have a good selection of beers.

This was our first visit to the Hand and Trumpet, although we have dined at several Brunning & Price pubs over the years. It is a lovely pub inside & outside, very spacious, the tables are not close together & we were able to talk without having to raise our voices! We waited over half an hour for our main course, although the pub was about half full and five servers. I was a bit underwhelmed with the chicken breast, rice, curry sauce and a small portion of green veg, spring onions, a couple of green beans and cabbage. The other members of my party enjoyed their meals, although there are no vegetables with the braised steak. We waited another age for desserts & coffee, so a bit disappointed with the service, although the servers were pleasant & friendly.

We've eaten here multiple times over the last two years and are generally always impressed. Last Sunday, we took friends for lunch. I had a mixed roast (pork and beef), my partner had the chicken roast. Both were delicious, and expertly cooked. Love the atmosphere here. Inside is cosy and traditional country pub, and outside in the summer is absolutely gorgeous. It's got a beautiful decked terrace, and a luscious garden includinga duck pond. Perfect for a cold pint on a hot day.

If you fancy food that is well presented, and a little different from usual, then this is the place for you. Great menu, with full range of meat and vegan /veggie dishes. It is clear that a lot of thought has been put into the menu choices. I loved the truffles! Good atmosphere and staff very friendly. They have lost half a star as I think the dishes are a little expensive and we had to ask the staff a few times to get our choices for main course and dessert. I have been here a few times and would definitely recommend the place!

Great location with pretty natural pond overlooked by upper decked seating area with some heated undercover seating if wanted. Traditional style decor with large dining areas but keeping that quaint appeal. Good menu choice and bar is pretty impressive with a great selection of drinks and weekly gin choice ‘ Bath tub ‘ Gin ‘ was this weeks choice. All in all good meal

Lovely meal at the Hand & Trumpet with work colleagues this week. We went for the Christmas Fayre menu which was very reasonable for 2/3 courses and they were all delicious! Excellent presentation and good service. Very nicely done up inside also we were sat by an open fire which was lovely!
