I recently ordered a Pork Pad Thai from UniThai Oriental Market in Hove, and it did not disappoint! The portion was generous, with plenty of tender pork, perfectly cooked rice noodles, and a great balance of sweet, tangy, and umami flavors. The fresh lime, crunchy peanuts, and bean sprouts added the perfect finishing touch. It wasn’t greasy, and the flavors tasted authentic—just like something you’d get from a proper Thai street food stall. UniThai isn’t just a place for great takeaway—it’s a hidden gem. It’s primarily an Asian grocery store, packed with Thai, Japanese, and other Southeast Asian ingredients, from fresh produce to specialty sauces and snacks. In addition to its takeaway service, it also has a small restaurant tucked inside, serving up freshly cooked Thai dishes at very reasonable prices. If you’re in Hove and craving authentic Thai food, UniThai is a must-visit. Whether you’re picking up ingredients to cook at home or grabbing a delicious meal, this place has you covered. Highly recommend!

I specifically went to buy their spices Garlic Powder, Turmeric etc , but unfortunately they were not available. Only bags of dried herbs. They said they were re- stocking didn't say when that would be, unfortunately. Would have purchased products in freezer but no prices shown on any of the items, which stopped me from purchasing.
Stumbled across this little thai restaurant at the back of this Thai grocery store and it was delightful. We just got back from Thailand a couple weeks ago and this took us right back. Has a very home cooked vibe and the atmosphere was comfortable
One of my partner’s favourites. He Brought me here and yes, the food was amazing! It’s a very simple dining, but I tell you!!if you love Thai food, it doesn’t matter the simple place. It’s a must if you come visit Hove, East Sussex.
The best Thai take away in Hove. Despite they have the store/market, on the back you can find their cuisine with some seats to sit and eat in the local, or just ask and take home. Their food is really tasty and the price it’s really good. Well worth, and one of my favourite plagues in Hove.
Some of the best Thai food I've had outside of Thailand! The pork broth/soup is insane (see photo), so flavoursome, tons of noodles, spice, meat, deep, rich broth and you get absolutely tons!! For about £7. Super charming too, hidden away at the back of a Thai/Chinese mini supermarket.
