One of my new faves down George street! The vegan potato pastry is so so tasty, as well as the vine leaves and Vegan Baklava, which I always struggle to find around Brighton! Haven’t been here for a sit down meal yet but the menu looks incredible so I will be sure to soon! The staff that work there are always so friendly and the service is great.
Aroma's uniqueness is the direct result of the beautiful family that runs this very special place. The coffee is high-quality and delicious, the baked goods are moreish, and their made-to-order foods are fresh and packed with flavours. I would highly recommend 'Fool' – a classic but hard-to-find-anywhere-else bean dip served with bread. The chicken kabseh falls off the bone and is served with perfectly seasoned aromatic rice. The homemade desserts such as the kunafee and the kabseh are enough to make the trip to George Street worthwhile. The delicious food aside, being at Aroma – one feels the kindness and tranquillity that is hard to come by in chain cafes. Customers take their time here; they read, they have meaningful conversations, they plan and congregate. It is not further from the truth at all to say that Aroma is a cultural hub, a place where people from all walks of life find their place of respite. I cannot recommend this place highly enough; come for something delicious, but stay and keep coming back for the beautiful souls that run this establishment.
A lovely, family business. A different kind of cafe. It's very peaceful. A sanctuary. Occasionally the owner, Radi, plays verses from the Qur'an. It's spiritual in an understated way, the perfect place for a quiet conversation with a friend. The staff are friendly and talkative, but are also modest and restrained which is nice. At one point I become interested in Islam and Radi gave me his time and took me under his wing. I am all for the spirit of their faith which is about doing good works and living in peace. The homemade cheesecake is excellent and the spiced Moroccan coffee is hard to beat. The lentil soup is one of our favourites. They have a great range of homemade, Middle Eastern delicacies. The meat is halal. They observe Ramadan and Radi can often be seen observing prayer. They are originally from Palestine and so especially deserve support. But it is a lovely place with excellent and reasonably priced food and drink
Hands down my new favourite home away from home. What a way to start my week, I'm very excited to have found this place, food almost as comfort as my own mothers cooking. Wonderful atmosphere and the community built here is fantastic. A warm welcome and various vegan options has me returning.

My place of choice A spinach pie, a pot of mint tea and instant transition to the Leventines 26.05.2022 Today, I tried the Olive and feta cheese. So delicious specially with a pot of mint tea. 02.08.2022 Took my granddaughter with me on a middle eastern food trip in George Street Hove and enjoyed chicken shawarma, falafel wraps and knafeh. Delicious and authentic 02.01.2023 A great start of the year, more hot delicious Mediterranean delicacies most needed for this weather. 15.03.2023 Trying a delicious spinach and cheese snack washed with a glass of mint tea. Lovely friendly atmosphere created by the owners.
GREAT FAMILY RUN BUSINESS! 1) Food – got chicken wrap, which was just normal, nothing fancy, but Turkish original cardamom coffee was something truly unique. 2) Customer service – this is the very best part of that place. What a lovely people, who happen to be one big family, running the business together. You can`t dislike them! 3) Interior – budget oriented, without any sophisticated taste, just OK as dozens of dozens similar ones in town. 4) Price – very affordable, taking in to consideration the cafe`s location.
I went with my toddler and husband and had a delicious Kale and Mango juice with vegan chicken shawarma and my hubby had a meat chicken shawarma. The owners were extremely friendly and went the extra mile to make us feel welcome.
New to Hove is this modern cafe in George Street, here you can get middle eastern food thats freshly made from scratch on the premises, if your looking to try something new here you can get Jordanian, Georgian and Turkish recipes consisting of irresistible pastries, savoury items, sandwiches including vegetarian options, hot drinks and delicious tasting soup. This is a super friendly family run place that is highly recommended.
I thought I'd try this new Middle Eastern cafe in Hove and I was not disappointed. The food was full of flavour, even the salad was so delicious! The coffee was like velvet and the atmosphere was chic and warming. The staff were so friendly and gave excellent recommendations as to what foods to try. I honestly cannot recommend this gem enough. You will not be disappointed.
