Have always been coming here since a child and it always has an amazing range of shoes. Very sad to see it closing but I've loved every visit.
Very polite and good service from the lady at the shop today. She was very helpful and provided advise on the shoe sizes. Though i told her it don't need to try all the sizes as i haven't made up my mind and just wanted to see how it looks on me. She said it is ok and proceeded to bring sizes and colors for me to try. Unfortunately, i didn't purchase anything as I haven't made up my mind. All in all, a very good store and no pressure.
We have often visited this lovely shop in the past and been served by the owner. The owner is kind, patient and caring and we’ve always come away happy. Yesterday however (7/4/2023) the woman who served us (dark hair with a fringe) could not have been less helpful or welcoming. We were the only customers in the shop, so it wasn’t as if she was busy or rushed. She seemed exasperated that she had to go and get several boxes of shoes for my little girl (wide feet, high instep), and was downright rude when my little girl was having trouble choosing which shoes she liked best. I don’t know why Stompers has chosen to employ someone who clearly doesn’t enjoy her job and makes people feel uncomfortable. She couldn’t wait to get us out of the shop, even though we were the only people in there. We won’t return to Stompers again if this woman is there as she made the whole process stressful and rushed. Such a shame when the owner is so lovely.

Visiting family from New Zealand. Took my 9 year old daughter shopping for the day and visited Stompers Shoes. The lady was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, asked lots of questions to help us decide, measured my daughters feet then brought several different styles and colours in the brand she was looking at. We found the perfect pair and both my daughter and I were extremely happy with the service and the product we bought. Would highly recommend.
Really lovely shop, staff were so helpful & friendly. I popped in to get my son fitted for his first shoes & they were wonderful, will definitely be returning when he needs the next size up!
Friendly, helpful knowledgeable staff. We have bought two pairs of baby shoes here now and the staff always go out of their way to make sure the shoes fit well. We will definitely be back when our next little one needs shoes!
Bought school shoes from here yesterday. A lovely lady served us who was very helpful. Measured our sons feet and although has adults sizing has slim feet. Adult men's sizes slip off his heals. Lady brought down several pairs his size. Although they were adults length some were still child's for narrow width. The lady was very professional and knowledgeable. Definitely knew what she was doing. Very friendly service will definitely be going back. Adults shoes and boots also look really nice. Would definitely recommend to everyone.
