Popped in for a quick drink ordered 2 half’s of lager £6,70 thought I had been rapped and came in plastic glasses. What a joke, decided to go to toilet and thought I was going in the toilet from train spotting, absolute dump will not be returning

The worst service I’ve ever had, Barman didnt even acknowledge me when coming in, outing my drink and leaving even when I made a point of trying to Engage in conversation every time - this pub used to be good - it’s 12.45 on Wednesday 5th, so if management bother to read this, give some feedback to the guy working - it’s not good

Well, if I wrote this review a year ago the score would be much lower. However with their completely new garden this place has improved significantly. They have a fully covered, fully heated smoking area with tonnes of seating. Staff are usually super friendly and they have a lot of GOOD student deals. Downsides: Toilets are horrible and the inside of the bar can smell very 'off-putting'. Otherwise I will certainly continue to come here.

The pub has had it`s `ups and downs` over the many years it has been open with apparently changes of owner and the quality of the food. It is now in an `up phase` long may it continue. I had the Wasabi Hamburger which I enjoyed. The staff were friendly, and the service quite prompt although it was a busy Saturday night

Seemed to have a good vibe, even for a Wednesday evening. The inside was nicely lit in purple and the garden out back was great - booths of different sizes around the edges with fake living walls and heaters. There are also some long bench tables in the middle so plenty of seating. Fairy lights and a good playlist added to the atmosphere and it wasn't too loud. Only downsides are the steep prices (but that's expected) and the toilets, which looked like dingy public toilets that were very dirty and didn't fit the vibe of the place at all. If they upgraded them I would probably give 5 stars!

Nice pub. Good variety of drinks. They serve vegetarian food. Large settings, two floors. They got game machines on the first floor. We had a great time there.

Best beer Garden in Brighton!! - The Hobgoblin is a staple of Brighton life. It's a fantastic pub that's been around for so many years it feels like it's a part of Brighton's heritage. The Beer Garden at the back of the pub is exceptional, extremely Large, fully covered (for those raining drinking sessions) and, in my humble opinion, very well laid out. The staff are always friendly and professional and the pub always partakes in festivities and seasonal events. Drinks prices are average and they often have live music. It's a cornerstone of pub culture and I cannot fault them on anything. Their food is awesome too. well-priced and good quality. If you are visiting Brighton, make time to have a pint at the Hobgoblin. You won't be dissapointed :)
