If I could give it 0 stars I would. Walked in at 2pm with some friends (we are all 19) and asked for a lemonade. She asked us for ID, for some reason, suggesting she had to challenge 25 for anyone walking into the pub. This is not the law, she clearly didn’t want us in the pub and she rudely said ‘bye then’ when we told her we didn’t have our ID on us. Rude woman.

Only popped in for a couple of games of pool. The pool was free on Sundays, and they had put out free cheese and crackers . Ended up staying for a few pints and a few games of pool. Staff/owner was really friendly. Tvs up and showing sports, which was cool. I will deffo be going back.

Seems friendly enough, but went in on a Saturday afternoon and the horse racing was on at high volume to an audience of old men. Nice enough place but not my sort of pub. Guinness was only £4.40 Edit: Just added a star as I've noticed there are cling-film wrapped egg rolls on the bar. Proper old-school. Edit Nov 23 I really like this place - funny pub singer on a late sunday afternoon. Really friendly.

Only popped in for one, ended up staying for several. Had a great evening. The owner Mark was very friendly and welcoming. The garden looks great. Always a good evening out.

Walked past and driven past this pub and always wanted to try it. I (wrongly) thought that it was a bit spit & sawdust, but I actually found it to have a good atmosphere without the pretence that many hipster brighton pubs have nowadays. The barstaff are super helpful and friendly and the prices very reasonable. I have not tried the food yet, but the outside seating area is really nice, with kids being able to play. All in all a good pub for those who just want a drink in friendly surroundings & without having to sell their liver to pay for it. Bravo The Hollingbury!

A nice local's pub smartly decorated with friendly staff. Darts and a pool table for those who want. A decent place to spend a few hours with friends or pop in for a pint and chat to staff or regulars.

Came here for a drink with a friend. Sign said there'd be a warm welcome, which there wasn't, but I felt really comfortable there. It's a decent space, nice crowd on a Wednesday night. Good beer, would be nice to have some more varied nibbles but otherwise great pub!
