This pub is one of my absolute faves, great location if you want to be a little walk out of town, super close to the beach too! Me and some friends came here for a roast and it was UNREAL. Staff were amazing , bloody Mary’s were lush and the pub itself was really nice cosy vibes ! Deffo recommend!

While visiting friends, I went for a Sunday roast at this busy pub, which was expected for that day. Fortunately, we had made a reservation. We waited just over half an hour for our food, due to the pub's busy schedule, and it was worth the wait. The beef and chicken were cooked to perfection, and the roast was a good size. Creamy spinach and cauliflower cheese was a nice addition. The staff were attentive and quick to serve, either with table service or bar service. Looking forward to our next visit, as we will definitely be back.

Had a cracking Sunday lunch here. Really good, ordered at the bar and waited an hour for our 2 roasts but it was worth the wait. Just a shame they had run out of a few food choices.... like the pork belly, my favourite. I had the beef and it was great. Would definitely visit again

Exceptional Sunday roast. Very generous portions with a delicious medley of vegetables accompanied by the most amazing gravy! The Yorkshire puddings are the size of your face. The staff are attentive & considerate of your every need. We are returning customers & bring all visitors here. I’d like to extend my thanks to the chef & I hope to meet them to thank them personally.

I reserved a table to watch the Women's Euros 2025 with some friends and I had the best experience! The atmosphere was brilliant, The Kemp had ensured each table had a good view of the various screens (inside and in the garden) and the staff were fabulous. They even had the celebratory songs ready to play the minute we had won the final. I just wanted to express my gratitude as my friends and I had the most joyful experience. Thanks Kemp pub team! xx

Great service as always and Sunday lunch delicious a good plateful however, you can order a smaller dinner if you don’t like a big plateful. Our favourite place for Sunday lunch. Thanks Jo xx

In its previous guise it was a pub we avoided so were keen to see what the new owners had done in their recently completed refurbishment. The Amsterdam has undergone a radical restyling, and greatly improved its image and has also been extended and is now deceptively large with several rooms and two separate bars. Attractive decor, helpful staff and a good range of beers and wines make it an attractive choice. With a reasonably priced menu - although, perhaps due to the initial demand for food - a number of items were not available on our visit. It should appeal to most pub goers as well as families. It has limited parking on site but should be attractive to locals, walkers and cyclists as well as motorists who may find on street parking nearby. We shall certainly be returning soon.

Yorkshire pudding was lovely but v small, roast potatoes tasted nice but only had one and had zero crunch. For the money I'd expect more than a couple of thin slithers of beef. The meal was ok but you can do better for the money. For 13 quid I'd expect better.

Went here to try the food from Arissy and it was incredible!. Fresh ingredients, rich flavours - loved the blue cheese/honey bunuellos! Perfect combo of sweet and savoury. Great service and such a lovely couple behind the business. They are definitely someone to watch on the scene! A must if you’re in Brighton.

Amazing place to stumble upon, though they had a small(ish) menu, there’s definitely something to suite everybody’s tastes. I had fish and chips (it would have been rude not to!) and hats off to the chef for making such a beautiful dish and presenting it so nicely… just writing this review is making me salivate! Great food, fantastic atmosphere and amazing service. Huge thank you to the team for making me feel welcome in Brighton!
