My second visit, first time I had a Sunday roast, 5 stars. This time I had mussels, very tasty, lovely sauce. Very nice staff and atmosphere. Family environment. I went with my husband and daughter (adult). Would recommend to all ages. Thank you.

Great negroni, jalapeños and burger. Salted caramel espresso martini was delicious. Chilled atmosphere and attentive and friendly staff. Great value too. Looking forward to checking out the roast soon! Thanks guys!

Been here serval times but never for a roast. Pork belly was faultless. Staff are great, and pub is timeless. We will carry on returning forever more. Thank you, Jed & Millie

Had really fab lunch here today. Never been there before and probably wouldn't even think about it, but I had no idea how wonderful the food is! I had pork belly which was exactly as it ought to be: crispy on top with soft, tender meat beneath-Yum! But desert was a revelation - artist at work - honestly! Highly recommend.

We revisited this restaurant last week, and I can scarcely believe that we went to the same place as writers of some other reviews - unless, perhaps, the takeaway food is very different from the eat-in stuff. We weren't able to tell what was on the takeaway menu, since the little menu-cards outside (one of which we picked up the following day) are only in Chinese. The eat-in menu is fascinating, the food not at all greasy and, despite the rather rough exterior of the place, the service is prompt and friendly. Dry house white wine is crisp and very palatable. The dining room is always busy with Chinese customers - always a good sign, and the menu somewhat quirkily reads from back to front. We shall certainly return to this gem of a place - it always makes a wonderful beginning to our week-ends in Brighton.

I visited with a friend and our children during half term for a lunchtime treat. There were 7 of us and we'd pre booked but turned up early. The manager welcomed and seated us and brought us menus, promising curly straws to the kids (which they could keep!) but unfortunately it turned out they were out of stock! =disappointed kids!! Hey ho - we ordered and the food was fairly quick and tasty although mine could have been hotter. I ordered something I wouldn't normally cook at home which was a mushroom stuffed pasta with mushroom sauce which was very nice. We'd printed our Tesco vouchers which made it a very reasonable visit (only had to pay for drinks and service charge) so we spent a very pleasant hour catching up and sharing some lovely Italian food.

Lovely experience here. I enjoyed some food and a drink while waiting for the train. Nice hidden gem with fresh food too and plenty of drinks also to choose from. All reasonably priced also, and offer specials on the day. Lovely owners and people who work there, there's a lot more space inside and a good amount of seating area. You can also sit outside, which is nice, especially with this current weather. I will be back here again! Solid A***** LDT x

The are a fair few dire pubs north of Brighton centre, very happily The Station Hotel bucks the local trend, warm staff, welcoming punters, terrific food and a general good vibe. A short menu highlights pub favourites and the thick slab of sirloin was cooked well. We took it with a bottle of Rioja, I would have liked a reserva instead of the offered crianza but am nitpicking now. I'll definitely be back to try the Sunday roast!
