1 star is too much it's an awful and rude misogynistic pub I was pushed past and ignored by 2 male serving staff who did not acknowledge me and proceeded to serve male regulars 3 after me whilst waited then left without a drink. All ladies avoid its a
Proper pub... fantastic beer and cider range. Lovely garden and outside area. Friendly staff.... oh...and live music at weekends / some week nights. Hungry?.... good kebab / burger shop next door.
Early evening and the pub was already filling up. Very good selection of well kept ales. The garden is particularly pretty and was well used. Fabulous to see a classic bar billiards table
So glad we popped in here today. A proper pub, great friendly staff and a fantastic garden. Going back for the live music ASAP. Shame it's not my local but 30 miles would be a long walk home.
A pub doing the basics fantastically well. Great decor, atmosphere and music. No food, just drinks. Outside areas to explore, some undercover and classic pubs games are available too.
We went to the Welly for New years Eve. The staff are adorable and the clientele are just lovely. The prices of drinks are beyond bonkersly low compared to other bars. They allow dogs. I mean seriously this is a lovely place to visit. Go and enjoy. Also the music is great. Literally everyone is welcome and more than that they feel welcomed. I’m going back soon.
From a beer perspective, there's a big range to choose from. Although, I'm sure the beer selection was better say 5 or 6 years ago. They have music here on a Friday night so don't come if you are intending on having a quiet conversation. However, the music seemed popular and the pub was quite lively.
Excellent pub with a great selection of drinks, live music and a fantastic beer garden.
Lovely staff, went out of their way to make customers feel comfortable. Great range of lovely beers (sadly I was driving so I couldn't partake). The pub was full of shantymen singing, so that was fun.
