Had an amazing experience with this garage. Called with an issue which needed fixing in a short time frame, they were extremely helpful in the quick turn around.
Recently had an issue with my car making a clunking noise. Called up and was seen the next day. They were able to spot the fault quickly and fixed it within the hour. Would highly recommend coming here and will definitely be using them again!
I brought my car in and explained early in the morning that if anything needed to be done, I should be informed first. Not everyone has the budget to pay unexpected costs, so I asked to be notified before any work was carried out. Unfortunately, I was not contacted. I left my phone number, but no one called me about my car or the service that was going to be done. I don’t mind paying for work, but as a customer, I should know in advance what the cost will be so I can confirm if it’s within my budget. When I came back, I found that the work had already been done without my consent. At reception, I was presented with a bill that hadn’t been discussed with me beforehand, and it even seemed like the charges were being decided on the spot. My car also wasn’t properly registered in your system. I do appreciate the effort put into fixing the car, but it is not fair to carry out work without informing the customer about the cost first.
One of the guy who works in this garage trying to fix my car On 11/11/2024 he take the car inside the garage trying to work on it ,after sometimes he called me, car is ready bring cash & take your car, The Car had only one problem ! I gave money & when for test drive After 500 yd the problems Came on the dashboard again turn around to go in the garage , the garage was closed the guy run away on the phone he said the garage is now closed we can look at it tomorrow come at 9 o'clock , he said ? I was there but he was not , next time when I caught him in the garage , He said he is Tonsillitis Ellis , he take time off work for two weeks then he can fix my car after 14 days He said he will be calling me but he never did . 1 day I went in the garage I caught him again he was working in the garage .he refused to fix my car However he had the money for it to fix That problem of the car on 11/11/2024 . But he just turned it off the lights on the dashboard Only , he didn't fix it on 11/11/2024 !!! I spoke with other colleagues and also in the office and they say he has to fix it but he keep giving me times After that day and refusing to take the car to fix it on appointment day when he make me for the car . Now it's end of January 2025 I keep chasing him & he keep refusing so I have to give a negative feedback . To Draw people's attentions of their service of this garage end the manager attentions if he can do something ? Before the message spread out in social media too ? Be careful where you take your car Specially for this person Works in this garage ? I will shortly put his voice that he verbally say (( I will fix the car give me time)) . I will post his name in there too , when I get it . Thanks for You're attention .?
My car had some scratches on the door, and my son recommended this place, I took it there and left it and collected it later. They have done a great job, and I definitely recommend it to everyone. I find they take pride in their jobs, and they look after their customers well. I will go back.
Such a great business. So many MOTs done here and have always trusted them not to rip me off. Today MOT failed for a wheel valve and number plate lightbulb, both replaced with NO charge other than the MOT. Also free puncture repairs for their clients!!!! Fabulous local, independent garage

I have used Portslade MOT and Service Centre for a few years now and their work has always been exemplary. They recently identified an issue with my car, which meant it had to go back to the main dealer. The dealer told me I needed a new turbo and would charge in excess of £3700 to replace it. I had the car taken back to Portslade MOT as their quote was just over £1700. When they started their own inspection, they found the problem was not the turbo but a filter instead. Their honesty saved me even more money. I highly recommend the garage for all work , as I have always found them to be genuine. They keep the customer informed and stick to their quoted prices. An excellent company.
A friendly and honest business. It's always hard to find a new garage when moving to a new area. Have been going to this business for 3 years now and I haven't got a bad word to say about them. I fully trust any work they may suggest and have always had the car back in a more than reasonable time with more than reasonable costs. It's a bonus that everyone that works there are also very friendly and welcoming
