Been going here for 20yrs never had a problem with them, as for the comment underneath mine don't order food then go shopping for 2hrs, so your fish and chips have been sat wrapped up and in a plastic carrier bag in your car for 2hrs. Shopping first then go and get your food. Anyways great food great service.
I've been a regular customer of Treasure Inn for yeaaaars, but I won't be returning again after what I've experienced. I popped in this evening (07/11/2025) at 19:00 to buy two large bags of chips for my mum and I, and also fish for myself. We had some errands to run so we didn't end up back home until a couple of hours later, and I had planned on reheating the food once I got back. I've reheated fish and chips from here several times in the past and not had any problems at all, so I didn't think there would be a difference this time around. However, I couldn't have been more wrong. The chips were OK but the fish tasted foul and was clearly off. It even had an unpleasant smell! As soon as I tasted it I spat it out and called the chip shop (at 21:00), and informed them of the issue with the fish. The girl on the phone told me that the fish 'would' taste off because I bought it two hours ago. I explained to her that I've reheated Treasure Inn's fish and chips several times in the past and not had any problems at all, so the fish must have been off when it was first cooked. The girl continued to imply that it's my fault the fish had gone off because I didn't eat it straightaway. I let her know that my mum and I had errands to run before we returned home, so I couldn't had tried the food any sooner, and as soon as I tried it I contacted her. She told me that if I had informed them straightaway then they could've done something about it... although I'm not sure I believe this. If she thinks that fish can go off in two hours after it's been purchased (bare in mind that we're in November and the season is cold), then her 'logic' isn't much to go by. Furthermore, while I was talking to the girl on the phone, I heard her talking to someone else in the background and saying 'She's still going on!'. I replied 'I heard what you said. I'm not still going on - I'm just letting you know about my experience and that's all'. Anyway, needless to say - The fish went in the bin and my money also went with it, but at least there won't be a repeat of this situation again. Disgusting fish and terrible customer service!
The food is good and enjoyable if you live near there go and try for yourself I have just ordered a three starters meal which is a little bit of this and a little bit of that the food is awesome
Food was nice and didn't take too long, was a fair price and place seemed clean.
Although I don't visit here often, I everytime I do it's a treat. Staff are extremely friendly as I know them personally. Portion sizes are great and very consistent. Only problem is the cheesy chips, they don't really melt on the chips and you can't only get one portion size.
We ordered takeaway for the first time tonight, we really were not sure after reading the some of the reviews, but our Chinese was so tasty, would recommend, priced very fairly, we will definitely be using again...
The two new serving staff there don't seem to care. My fish and chips vary in quality week by week, but last week they assured me the fish was only cooked five minutes before. It was old, stale, not very hot and fibrous, absolutely horrible. The chips were mostly the dreggs, not proper chips and cold. I've tried to phone to complain but it appears the phone number isn't connected, despite checking over and over again. This has happened more thana few times recently. Not happy.
Can’t give 0 stars unfortunately. Just ordered a large portion of chip and it was a messily portion! If it was a small portion expected a dozen chips at best. Last time I go here
