I have been shopping at Harriet's of Hove since it was a small unit on Blatchington Road and more recently, in George Street, Hove. From the moment you walk into this Aladdin's Cave, the heart just sings! It is a treasure trove that Harriet has built for the local community and her passion for ethical shopping and supporting small businesses within the sustainable retail market is outstanding. As well as being a generous business owner, this Hove entrepreneur deserves the recognition and reward she offers our community. Harriet always has a smile and her knowledge of the best plant based products to be found puts her at the top of her game! Get yourselves in there for some wonderful Christmas gifts this time of the year...oh, and don't forget the peanut butter, it's simply the best!

I had the pleasure of meeting Harriet today, who helped me with my oat needs (thank you! ☺️) and even went out of her way to enquire about a specific product for me directly to the manufacturer. I can't remember the last time any shop did that for me! I love this store and what it represents, it has such an important role in the local community. Since starting a more mindful lifestyle a few years ago, Harriet's of Hove has been there for me, from nuts and pulses to every day reusable items. The staff are a great team, always helpful and smiley, no matter if it's a quiet day or Saturday lunchtime. I honestly couldn't do without this store.

I recently decided to start my journey towards living more sustainably and reducing waste, and walking into Harriets of Hove was the perfect first step. The service was absolutely incredible, the team took the time to talk me through everything, answer my questions, and help me feel totally confident in making changes. Their range of products is amazing, from household essentials to personal care, and it’s genuinely going to cut down how often I need to visit the supermarket. I picked up everything from shower products to laundry detergent and even fresh oat milk, and was pleasantly surprised at how affordable it all was. I also learnt about their brilliant e-bike service, which means they can collect my empties, refill them, and even deliver the products on the same day. This is going to save me so much time and money! And honestly – the products are fantastic. The laundry detergent and fabric conditioner left my clothes feeling incredibly soft and smelling gorgeous, and the body wash has made my skin feel so smooth. I'm officially obsessed! Can’t recommend Harriets of Hove enough if you're looking to shop more sustainably and make some positive, feel-good changes.

This is the best place to buy plastic free and fill your own jars etc. The staff are so helpful and friendly, and prices are very good too. I love it here and am always happy to make the trip.

This shop is genuinely a gem in Hove. I love plastic free and sustainable businesses already, but the staff is always friendly and lovely, always ready to answer questions and they sell all sorts of items (not just dry pasta and spices!). Household cleaning and sustainable kitchen supplies, beers, bread, snacks, etc - great place and hope more people know about it. Definitely worth a visit,

Harriet's is an absolute treasure trove of goodies. She's managed to source some really great products and the shop carries a wide selection of goods so it easy to come away with more than you went in for. Of course the main point is that it's sustainable, and you can take your own containers in for produce sold by weight and this proves good value too. Highly recommended.
