Visited the store today 2 checkouts open one of which was about to close. I had 6 items so went over to the self service checkout. The lady promptly stopped me saying you can't come through with a trolley. I used a trolley as im disabled. Therefore, I had to wait behind people with full trolleys. There is NO sign at the self service checkouts to say NO trolleys baskets only. I'm therefore, not sure how they can enforce this when there is no sign saying this. I was told by a staff member this had been raised before. Apparently a year ago the manager was going to get a new sign for the self service checkouts. This was my first visit for about 3 years. I don't think I will be rushing back as mobility is an issue.

Staff have racial bias in this store and always pick on people of colour to check bags. My mother in law who is 70 always gets her bags checked even when going to the till (not self service). Staff need to undergo racial bias training - shameful

I love Aldi. Great products great prices. This particular store seems to have trouble keeping the shelves stocked. I went last Saturday at about 3pm and it seemed like half the store was empty. Aldi tends to concentrate it's choices of any product so this makes it hard to do a full shop. This is not the first time this has happened at this store by far. If it continues I will shop at London Rd Aldi from now on.

Great parking 1and a half hours allowed. Plenty of disabled bays. Disabled friendly shopping. Great prices and quality and the famous random middle Isle. Big choice of products and their meat is excellent quality. Can't beat it. Friendly staff, what's not to like. Only downside is that there are not many staff on the floor to ask questions - but that's how they keep costs down. Other Downside is that there are no self service checkouts or basket checkouts. People tend to go there to stock up on great trolley loads, so if you've got a basket with a few items, it can be very frustrating.

Good selection, and what you'd expect. Abit to claustrophobic for me personally as the aisles are quite small and if crowded abit overwhelming

I've been asked to update my review but it's all still correct...Car park is a weird shape and rather traumatic when its full and you have to navigate getting out again, so if you're going after 10am I'd say park somewhere else and walk across. Otherwise Aldi is highly recommend to buy groceries in. Can get a bit competitive with other shoppers who forget it's a shop and not an arena where you fight to the death, but range of food is good. As a rule if you see something you might like, buy it, as it almost definitely won't be there next time you go, and no member of staff will own up to it ever existing. A great place to play the "Aldi checkout speed challenge" to see if you can bag items as quick as they get scanned. Which is very quick indeed. Good Luck!
