My partner bought a pack of Gaviscon tablets and when we got home the packet had been opened and multiple tablets had been popped out of the packs! They are kept behind the till so was obviously a staff member. We couldn’t be bothered to refund but just wanted to warn others.

Went in to ask about will documents. Young asian lad behind counter was not at all helpful. He shrugged at the fact he had to help me then showed me a small envelope that said "will" on it. I asked if this was the proper legal form & he shrugged his shoulders again! Terrible unfriendly service...he also was on his fone while serving...the post office staff at the back of this store need to give him customer service lessons as they are brilliant. Do not shop here!

I don’t think I’ve ever been to a family shopper before so, as a supermarket nerd, I was really rather excited to pop by after work to take some photos, write a review, and maybe get myself a fun beverage. I was taking a few photos of things that I thought would be interesting or useful to share, but then the person behind the till told me I wasn’t allowed to take photos. Fair enough, I know it isn’t usual behaviour to take photos, so I walked away and continued to look around the shop. I knew she was keeping an eye on me which didn’t exactly put me at ease. Then after a few more minutes, when I was nearly finished looking around and was ready to think about what fun or unusual drink I might treat myself to, she came up to me and said that if I wasn’t going to buy anything I would have to leave. By that point I didn’t really want to give her my money so I just walked out. I will attach the photos I did manage to take, both for the sake of hopefully being useful to others and to prove that I really wasn’t taking photos for nefarious purposes. I just love adding more information to google maps!

DO NOT SHOP HERE. The guy overcharged me considerably and also scanned in and the said his scratch card machine was broken when a winning scratch card was taken in my partner so he took it to another newsagents and they said it had been cashed! The man did it and won’t do a thing about it.

I went into this store to purchase some rather cheap items- a 9 pack of toilet roll and some sweets. I went to pay for these using my card. The payment would not go through instantly so the shopkeeper took my card, looked at it, tapped it himself, then gave it back to me. I was unable to see the screen. Whilst he was attempting to make conversation with me, his colleague was packing my things into a bag. I asked for a receipt which he then put in the bag. I went back home, looked at the receipt and noticed that I was charged almost £30 for what should have been maximum of £18. I went back to the shop with my receipt and asked for a refund. Instantly, the shopkeeper got very defensive and said that he does not do refunds. I had not opened any products (all of which were non-perishable) so I am sure I have some consumer rights. I explained that I believed I had been overcharged and asked about the prices of each item. The 9 pack of toilet roll had a shelf pricing label of £5.99. Various other items did not have any shelf labels at all. When I went to check the price of the toilet rolls, with slight of hand, he quickly pulled the label off of the shelf in front of us and told us that it was £8.99, which had been sloppily handwritten on a different package, though the shelf still said £5.99. We took the label back off of him and confirmed that it was supposed to be £5.99. We then went through the costs of the other items, a few which he attempted to up price, the others which had no shelf price but the prices he gave were unreasonably more expensive than you would expect for the items. He then said that he could not do a card refund as “it’s already in the system” and he conveniently didn’t know how. I have the same card machine myself and know that it is possible to do a refund. I showed him how process a refund on that card machine but it required a supervisor code which he appeared not to know. He also said that he had worked at that shop for 20 years and had never had to do a refund (this is highly unlikely). He tried to continue arguing for a while and tried to offer me the difference in cash, therefore admitting that he had overcharged (had I been someone else, I could have easily been bullied into backing down). I did not accept this as I did not feel comfortable with such a dishonest man having my business. When he realised we were not backing down, he gave a full refund in cash and tried to make light of the situation. I am happy I have my refund but it should not be so difficult to have a conversation with a shopkeeper when there is a problem. I hope that people avoid this shop, but if you must purchase from here, check the price of the items before you pay and make sure to check the receipt.

Shopkeeper is a scammer, I was charged 3.99 for an item priced 1.25 which I only got to know 2 hours later. He also initiates uncomfortable conversations with women and tries to get their phone number in the context of providing help.

The shop keeper entered a different amount on the contactless card terminal, which I noticed on my Apple Pay after the transaction. I wanted to believe this was an accident but judging by all the other reviews where the same thing has happened it's clearly not.

He will overcharge you. be warned as he handles post also. Think twice about buying stamps while at this post office. He got aggressive with me when I contested the bill for my items once (charged me about a third on top of what they cost). A report has been made. Nothing wrong with the post office at the back but that’s not to this guy’s credit

DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP! the man is a con artist. he over charges you he tries to be friendly and make conversation so when you are paying you do not notice how much he overcharges. Will be reporting you to the trading standards. Such a scam. Wish I had seen the reviews before

This guy is a thief!!! AVOID this shop! He strikes up a conversation so when you are paying you do not notice how much he overcharges. By overcharging, I mean, that he adds on money that you have not spent. We only noticed ten extra pounds were added two hours after we left. Unfortunately, we did not have a receipt and we are not locals. After reading other reviews, there is no way this could've been a mistake. He needs to be reported to trading standards and the police.
