    I took my car to Halfords for a battery/alternator check and Halfords told me I needed a new battery. I spent £100 on a new battery and the problem persisted. Halfords said it must be the alternator so I took it to high level service station and ask them to replace the alternator. They called me back 10mins later and told me I didn't need an alternator as it was only a belt missing (how Halfords missed this I will never know). They could have just done me a new alternator and charged me for it. If you want an honest mechanic this is the place. I will be always using these. If I could give 10 stars I would.

    If I could give 10 stars I would! I can't recommend enough!!! My BMW had visited three garages previously and I was told the vehicles handling and the intermittent grinding from the near side wheel was not there, all was ok. HLSS have spent time test driving my car for a few hours and they confirmed I was not going mad and there was a problem. The issue was identified quickly, parts ordered and fitted in a great time. I’ve driven the vehicle tonight and for the first time in along time, it drives straight and the grinding feeling I felt when accelerating is no longer there. Really reasonably priced and these guys will be doing all of the work on my car going forward.
