Went to the shop by the football stadium. Trying to buy a pair of trainers. When I finally found a member of staff, I got the distinct impression that she couldn’t be bothered with customers requests (turns out she was the manager). Nothing in my size (womans 8). I said “I guess I’ll just have to look elsewhere, surely I’m not the only woman looking for larger sizes” and turned to leave. I then heard her say to a colleague “what’s her problem?” The problem was her attitude. If she had waited until I was out of earshot I would have written off the experience and wouldn’t have bothered to give a review. The fact that she was discussing a customer before they had even left the shop was the tipping point. I will not return to this shop! Dreadful customer service. If zero was an option, that’s what I would have given!

Nice big store with great brands. This is the MK Fashion Show featuring JD.

I have never experienced such a patronising and unbothered response from store staff. I only went in to enquire when the Arc’teryx line would be available and was met with: “If they bring it, we’ll have it at some point. If not, we don’t. That’s how it works.” When I asked if anyone else in the store might have more knowledge, the reply was simply “NO.” That was it. No effort to be helpful, no attempt to point me in the right direction. Just rudeness and dismissal. I understand that working with people all day isn’t always easy, but checking your attitude should be the bare minimum when dealing with customers. I’ll take my purchase directly to the main company instead, and I sincerely hope management takes a good look at how their staff are interacting with customers, because this is unacceptable.

Awful experience! My 10-year-old son had been saving his money for a long time to buy his dream shoes. He was so excited that he could finally get them. We went to JD Sports, found his size, he tried them on, and was really happy with them - so we decided to buy. A staff member said they would hold the shoes at the till for us while we looked at some trousers. About 10-15 minutes later, when we went to pay, the shoes were nowhere to be found. After waiting another 10 minutes while the staff tried to figure out what had happened, we were told that someone else had bought them. I asked how that could happen when the shoes were meant to be behind the till and not available to anyone else. The staff’s response? “We don’t know.” Supposedly this was the last pair in that size, so I also asked how someone else could have even tried them on - again, no answer, just blank stares. A complete lack of care or responsibility. If I could give zero stars, I would. My son was extremely disappointed, and JD Sports clearly doesn’t value customer service.

My friend likes Nike trainers so we visited JD Sports on a Monday afternoon to find a pair similar to what she was wearing. The shop looked clean, tidy and brightly lit. A friendly-looking assistant came over and my friend told them what she was after. The assistant brought a couple of trainers to try on but they were in the wrong size, so we waited for them to return with the correct size. After waiting a while we weren't sure if they were ever going to return and we needed to catch our bus. So we left without finding a pair or buying anything else. Are there not enough staff in this shop?

I went in to buy some trainers and the guy who helped me was extreamly helpful and knew exactly what type I was after. He was very efficient and I was in and out of the shop in no time. I think his name was Joe, I'm not sure if he is a manager but with his level of customer service and knowledge he should be. Very polite and professional. Thanks Joe. Now I have the trainers and my jd sports bag I can hang around out side mcdonalds with my brand new young persons starter pack.

For the amount of money spent in the shop I would expect a smile and more helpful staff.
