   Booked in for NYE and enjoyed it from beginning to end. All staff were helpful and friendly, sometimes going above and beyond. Our room was upgraded so I can recommend the Junior Suite which had some nice touches and a fabulous comfy bed. Our massage the following day was excellent and the spa very relaxing. I'm not very good with dogs and there were quite a few at the hotel.

   This is a fabulous hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. They made me feel very welcome and they were lovely with my dog. The room was very comfy and clean with an outside door and a patio overlooking the heated swimming pool. Alfriston itself is a lovely place to visit with lots of very welcoming, very old pubs. The hotel is a great centre to visit Alfriston.

   Overnight stay in a very quaint hotel on the outskirts of Alfriston Village. The check-in process was professionally handled, and we were allowed early access to our allotted room, which was a free upgrade. Service in the restaurant was polite and very good, and the staff were engaging at all times. The bedroom was clean and comfortable, and was quiet overnight with no disturbances encountered. The hotel is located next to the Cuckmere River, where you can walk (weather permitting) to enjoy the local scenery. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and will be back in the New Year.

   My daughter and I have just experienced an excellent couple of nights here. We found all of the staff to be very welcoming and helpful, leading to a relaxing ambience throughout. Our room overlooking the downs was very comfortable , and the hotels location close to the South Downs way made it possible to have interesting walks , leaving the car in the car park throughout our stay, coupled with relaxing down time in the spa. The spa facilities were very quiet while we were there, mid week, and the excellent sauna and heated outdoor pool a bonus. We both had excellent treatments at the spa. Highly recommend.

   I booked a stay at The Alfriston for my partner’s birthday and we honestly had the best time. We were greeted by a lovely lady on reception who told us we could use the spa before checking in, which was such a nice surprise. We spent a couple of hours relaxing in the sauna, steam room and pool and even enjoyed a cocktail while we were there! Our room was beautiful, really calm and spotless, with a view over the gardens and the South Downs. We had dinner at the 1554 Brasserie after a drink by the fire in the bar, which was super cosy. Dinner was amazing and the desserts were honestly some of the best I’ve ever had. What made the stay even better was how friendly and attentive all the staff were. Everyone was so welcoming and made us feel really looked after. We loved our stay and will definitely be back again soon! Thank you!

   We recently got married at Dean’s Place and from start to finish was a fantastic experience. Caroline and the rest of the events team were so supportive, organised and made the whole process exciting! The venue is beautiful, snuggled in the South Downs, with amazing views and roaring fires that make the lounge areas really inviting! On the day the food was fantastic, the team so attentive (so many of our guests mentioned this) and we were made to feel so special! We truly had the BEST day and a lot of that comes down to the fantastic team at Dean’s Place! We will always hold Dean’s Place in a special place and will certainly back in the future!

   We stayed at the Dean's Place Hotel over New Year in 2022, a two night break including NY eve. We thought the hotel was delightful, we had a Downs View room with a huge window that made the room light and airy. We had dinner both nights, the food was fabulous. In addition on NY eve we had a singer which really added to the atmosphere. The staff were lovely, especially Caroline who took the time to show us around and make sure everything was OK during our stay. We will be back!

   Celebrated my father’s 80th birthday with a dinner and overnight stay. A lovely place with friendly staff who delivered excellent service. Really made the celebration. Nice, modern rooms with character. Highly recommended.

   Had a really great Sunday lunch at Dean's Place Hotel to celebrate my Mum's 94th birthday. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the food was excellent. Best roast beef and Yorkshire pudding I've ever had!Thoroughly recommend.
