We had a lovely stay in the Shepherd’s Hut which was set in an idyllic location with scenic views. We followed Emma’s recommendation and visited the Gun Inn for dinner after we arrived, the food was delicious and we were well looked after - it’s a lovely pub and certainly worth a visit if venturing down into Findon Village. We enjoyed a dip on the hot tub whilst having our morning coffee, the views were beautiful. Everything was as advertised and expected and we hope to be back soon!

What an amazing experience! Something that we’ve always wanted to do and it didn’t disappoint. Fantastic location being on a farm with beautiful views of the South Downs. The owners were really helpful and kept us informed via emails in regards to directions and any other help. The pod had everything we needed, WiFi, kitchen, tv, heating.
Plenty of pubs around the area, toby carvery 10 minutes down the road and not far from Brighton either. Perfect location. Would highly recommend and would definitely be returning . Hot tub was great too!

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at South Downs Rural Retreat for our wedding, along with some of our guests, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. From the moment we arrived, Emma, Rob and their lovely family made us feel so welcome. They have created such a warm, relaxed atmosphere, and you can really tell how much care and thought they put into every little detail.
The accommodation was spotless – everything was so clean and beautifully maintained – and we were constantly impressed by the thoughtful touches throughout. It honestly felt like they had thought of everything to make our stay as special and stress-free as possible.
The setting itself is breathtaking, with stunning views in every direction – the kind of peaceful, rolling countryside you just want to soak up forever. It was the perfect backdrop for such a special occasion, and our guests were blown away too.
Emma and Rob went above and beyond for us, yet somehow managed to do it all with such a chilled, easygoing energy that instantly put us at ease. We couldn’t have wished for better hosts or a more beautiful place to spend such an important time in our lives.

We had a wonderful stay. What a beautiful setting. The view was stunning and the pod was really well equipped and immaculately clean. Emma was lovely – left us to it, but was very friendly on bumping into her and I don’t doubt she’d have been very responsive if we’d have had any issues. We didn’t get a chance to meet the hosts, however they were very helpful over email. It’s so lovely and quiet, perfect for a couples getaway. So many people have asked me where we were staying from the lovely photos and I’ve said to each of them that I definitely recommend staying here!

Wow, what a lovely place for an unforgettable weekend! The place is just amazing. The cabins are well designed with all the essentials you'd need.
Emma was very welcoming and helped us in whatever we needed. Plus (a big plus) an amazing Jacuzzi.
The area itself is just lovely. Pure nature, some cute animals, and most importantly for us - tranquility.
Very nice trails nearby to walk directly, no car needed.
