Always have the item that is hard to find. They are happy to open a box of screws and sell your the odd few. Service is great, and it's nice to get away from screwfix and toolstation and support a local business. We always call it Arkwrights as it's a fond reminder of the TV show and the brown shop coats are brilliant. I have often been tempted to ask for fork handles. Brilliant shop. Use it or lose it.
Very professional and helpful advice given, it remains me of the old days where you get a courteous and professional one to one service where you the customer is treated with respect and that your custom is important and that you wanting to come back if need to. Something that is missing in retail where are just a number or percentage of their sales/profits.
Marvellous shop ;yes in the best traditions of “Hardcore Hardware” they do stock “Fork Handles” and just about anything else you need . Highly recommend them ,use them as a first port of call when looking for something. Because if they haven’t got it ( quite a rare occurrence in my experience of this shop ) then they will generally get it ordered for you in a couple of days . Good old fashioned high quality service bravo
I needed a single replacement screw for a monitor base which I had been unable to get from manufacturer. The staff checked various options from stock and efficiently fixed it for me. Very helpful and I was very pleased. You can't beat traditional service.
