Delightful small theatre with comfortable seating and good views of the stage wherever you sit. The pantomime is a must. Good car parking opposite and easy access to the town.

Always something going on, nice vibes to the place. Bar has a decent selection of drinks and snacks. We go each year to the panto and it's always a brilliant cast, hilarious!

Great cosy venue which is really well priced for live music. It has a bar and alcohol is served along with snacks, and it has good facilities and accessibility. We've been a few times for live music events and it's a good night out. Parking is excellent and just across the road, but be aware, the car park still needs pay and display till 8pm most nights at the time of writing, read the parking notices!

Just incredible atmosphere. Seats placed so no one blocking view in front. Breathtaking production of Come From Away.

A good theatre space, not really a bad seat in the main house. Parking was a bit of a nightmare on the evening we visited, and no-one was able to recommend alternative locations with the car park opposite being full.

A bit like a local Amateur dramatic venue. Very pleasant if rather low key performance of the panto we were watching. A.small venue cannot pay for a big top class production. Many other types of entertainment on offer a various times and dates

I absolutely love Chequer Mead. We've watched 2 Pantos here and loved them both. Really looking forward to this year too. The coffee in the apron is really good too and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is good and the heating is comfortable. It's a great location for meeting up.

Lovely theatre, well planned comfortable seats. Nice bar area too. Car park right opposite so parking no problem. Saw sixties tribute band The Overtures who were fantastic, extremely professional musicians & singers, would thoroughly recommend to anyone for a good night out.
