Had an amazing time at the grotto today, a lovely “mrs Claus” read my children a Christmas story and a had a sing a long before seeing Santa who was so friendly and there was a magical photo which amazed my little girl. We absolutely loved the experience and I fully recommend
The best bookshop by every measure ♥️ I could write tomes about the magic of this place, but can summarise by saying the books are brilliant, it’s a wonderful place to simply spend an hour or so with your children playing and reading and the staff are BEYOND WORDS BRILLIANT. They put heart, care and warm humour into everything they do, and truly care about each and every one of the families and individuals that come into the shop. They create magic with their events (we will only ever be visiting Bookbugs’ Santa from now on!) and always have the best guidance and recommendations on which books to try. Truly a one-of-a-kind place. You must visit!
Huge thank you to Bookbugs and Dragon tales for our fab Santa experience. Honestly the best by far. Took the time to talk to the children and made them feel special. Went well over our 10 minuet slot with our 3 girls and still we were not rushed out. Not only that but they got some lovely books. Also a huge bonus that you don't have to pay full price for siblings.
Called into today this absolutely lovely local book shop. We as a family walked past the wonderful window displays many times but not made it in till today. Myself and my daughter (2years old) popped in and where warmly greeted. They kindly explained where everything was including they sell coffees/hot drinks which is a win as a parent. We explored the bookshop, my daughter stopping regularly to sit in the kiddie reading chairs or give the teddies a hug. There was a huge selection of kids books including all the favourites. Plenty to read there and then, toys around and just a lovely feel to the place. We will definitely be back soon!!! Thank you
A brilliant bookshop and such welcoming staff. My daughter received many lovely presents for her birthday but was most excited about coming here and spending her gift vouchers - I think that says it all! The coffee is great too.
This is my favourite bookshop. I always enjoy going in, and so do my children. Besides buying books, we have attended classes, the Halloween party, and we've even seen Father Christmas! The staff are friendly and welcoming, and I love having a coffee in peace and quiet sitting in the basement while the kids are in their class. We've also had subscription boxes, which were a great success. They contained brilliant books, treats and sweets! The girls looked forward to opening their parcels each month. A wonderful shop that I highly recommend.
