Suddenly, all the lovely, well known staff were gone! Total chaos when I went to collect.a prescription. I won't be using it again and I have been a regular customer for 37 years.

My first experience with this chemist after moving to the area was poor, and I will be taking my prescriptions elsewhere. They refused to let my 4-year-old daughter use their toilet after we waited 15 minutes for them to serve just two customers. I understand it’s not a public toilet, but the lack of basic consideration was disappointing. I was then told to β€œgo home and come back later” because they were open until 6 pm β€” not helpful at all. When I returned after taking my daughter home, I tried to buy a couple of low-value items with my prescription, only to be told that anything other than prescriptions was cash-only. I had to leave the items behind. I would genuinely like to know why all non-prescription items are cash-only. I will not be using this chemist again.

Honestly the most unhelpful staff, every single customer before me (which was a massive queue) had items/prescriptions missing, they wouldn’t let me pay with card, even though the person before me paid with card, and tried to make me walk 10 minutes in the rain with my 5 month old baby to get cash out, even though the card machine was working….? The lady (apparently the owner) was extremely rude, it’s a shame because you want to support independent businesses in this time, but I would avoid this pharmacy absolutely. Rudest customer service I’ve had in a long time, especially for a place that deals with sensitive issues like a pharmacy.

It’s great to see the new owners actively engaging with the community and continuing the tradition of personal, patient-focused service. They’ve shown real commitment to keeping the pharmacy’s trusted reputation intact while introducing modern touches that make the experience even better. Old is gone for good.

Not sure what has happened but the service here has gone right down, queues of customers who were basically being told to go elsewhere for their prescriptions. Told unable to obtain medication on several occasions plus they are now not even answering the telephone. Returning to surgery to transfer families prescription services to another local chemist. They also seem to have been removed from the Payden Chemist website as a local provider. If there is a problem surely they could post a notice or ask the surgeries for help, many local people rely on the home delivery for their meds.

Would highly recommend our local pharmacist, always professional and honest. Last week i got charged extra for a prescription and the pharmacist rang me to say i was due a refund. There aren’t many honest people in this world and I just wanted to share my positive experience. Working in the NHS is a day to day challenge which I know and people like to complain but don’t like to praise the positives! Thank you once again

Very lucky to have access to a knowledgeable and caring chemist. Having moved to Worthing last year there were so many things to sort out but the hand over of prescriptions was seamless

Staff generally friendly and helpful. What I find useful about this place is that in addition to the usual things you expect to find they have a good range of gift items. Useful shop.

Pros - nice and helpful staff - good supply of little things you may need such as body wash, dry shampoo, suncream Cons - as a wheelchair user this one is huge for me, whilst there is a ramp inside the shop there is a slight step outside the door that my strong front castors couldnt even get over. You would think for a pharmacy it would be wheelchair accessible as i now cant get my vital medications without help. Dont know if anyone else has had this issue but figured its worth a mention. Over all, handy local pharmacy but quite a big accessibility issue

A bit too quick off the Mark to close the shop. There was 2 minutes to go and I had rushed to get there. After they locked up another customer also came along and didn’t believe me that they had closed. 12:58
