I have been taking voice lessons with Pip for the last year. It is joyous. I learn - and her energy and approach is simultaneously supportive, fun, and gently challenges me. The highlight of my week.
Pip is a wonderful tutor. She is patient, enthusiastic and hugely knowledgeable but never intimidating. Most importantly, she listens to me, choosing exercises and songs that engage me, making practice and lessons enjoyable and meaningful. Lessons with Pip are a complete indulgence as I have no intention of singing in public; I wanted to strengthen my voice, but Pip’s tuition brought a wholly unexpected, welcome dimension to my life reminding me of how much I enjoy singing. Her passion for music is clear … we have moved through decades and genres which is exciting and enlightening for me … she really is a human jukebox! I wanted to write a stellar review because Pip deserves it; I haven’t even the smallest hesitation in recommending her. Enjoy!
Pip is a fab vocal teacher, she really makes what you want to achieve feel possible and she does so with endless patience. The range of material I was prepared and able to sing increased massively from my tuition with Pip and I can now comfortably perform songs live that I would never have done before. I highly recommend Pip.
I can thoroughly recommend Pip as a tutor. I have had lessons with her for several years, and aided by her musical input I have been able to write my own songs as well as develop my voice. She has always been engaging, supportive and constructive; and her friendly, welcoming approach plus her real enjoyment of making music makes her a great teacher.
I am so pleased that Pip has set this up. For at least the last four years I have been traveling to Canterbury for my weekly Monday 2 hour sessions with her,. As a septuagenarian her tuition has given me an understanding of how my voice is an instrument to be tuned, honed and used. I looked forward to, enjoyed and appreciated all that she has taught me about my voice and song. Pip is charismatic and excels at what she does.
My daughter has been tutored by Pip for approximately 12years or more. Pip has been simply amazing as a tutor for Olivia’s vocal performance and also helping with Olivia confidence. With Pips tutoring Olivia has achieved so much from getting a place in a top drama school to performing/singing in front of more than 300 people. Pip has taught Olivia so much from playing the piano to breathing exercises and learning different aspects of her vocal range. I can honestly say that with out Pips tutoring Olivia would never have had the amazing voice or confidence she has now. I feel we were so lucky to have found Pip.
