Great place, simple but complete breakfast menu, delicious food, great portions for good value. Also the team is really friendly. Definitely will come back and take people visiting Bedford for a great impression of our lovely city and inhabitants.
Unfortunately won't be returning, food wasn't great and a sandwich was forgotten about entirely. I asked about gluten and cross contamination and didn't get a response. Instead got a blank stare so asked for no butter on my jacket potato to prevent contamination but not sure they understood or complied as I now feel nauseous.
Went here for lunch recently and was disgusted to find that our cans of drink were several months past their use by date. When this was pointed out to a member of staff, she waited until we were about to leave and put the unopened can back in the fridge - we were lost for words. The council only commented to the effect that this is not good practice, but is not illegal.
It’s a shame you cannot leave ZERO star review. Attended with my 1year old as we saw that the cafe wasn’t busy compared to others (maybe that should have been the warning) but even though they were not busy our paid for ordered was missed. We waited 20 minutes to then be asked what we ordered even though others come and went. With no air con and a increasingly hungry and frustrated child this was the icing on the cake and we asked for our money back and left. On our way out we was told we were rude - I’m not sure how asking where your food is and asking for money back as it wasn’t even started can be considered rude. Avoid this place at all costs if you’re looking for somewhere to eat. Google listing says temporarily closed, it should be permanent.
Very poor. Warm coffee. Cheap bread for sausage sandwich. And very cheap sausages. Wouldn't recommend.
