The music here is ridiculously loud, can't imagine how the local residents must feel. Can't speak for the food, but typical pub..

My friend and I decided to play some pool at the Crown pub in Hardingstone last night 02/08/2025 we both spent around £65 each on drinks and pool games the Landlord wasn’t very polite to the both of us from when we entered but we really didn’t care about her and what she thought of us both all we wanted to do is shoot some pool she kicked us both out because I was vaping right at the door way leading to the beer garden when it wasn’t my shot when it was I would put the vape away in my pocket she was really rude to the both of us which I couldn’t really understand because my friend didn’t do anything wrong I’m definitely not a fan of that landlord a miserable old lady who really shouldn’t be running a pub with her attitude hence to say that we will not ever step foot in her pub ever again but we both will if there is a change of ownership

Came tonight for the quiz, what a blast! We were visiting the area and stumbled on this gem online saying it done a quiz on Tuesday. Had a great time and the hosts were fantastic. Was nice to be made so welcome in a room of locals.

I was staying at the local Premier Inn, but fancied a beer elsewhere. The nearest was the Crown then Sun. There were a few dodgy reviews about the Crown but thought I would still have a look in as it was the first I came to. The locals were all playing skittles (a new experience for me being a northerner), had a go too. Made to feel very welcome by all. Young lady behind the bar was lovely (the teacher). The landlady hasn't been well, but came down stairs at the end of the night and she was very nice too. Judge people as you find them... Never made it to the Sun

NO FOOD according to the staff. PUB ONLY. There was parking and a food truck outside (should've been our first clue). The signs say food, so we went in. Seemed like a nice place to watch a game. Pretty interesting place but we went on to a place with food. Probably pretty busy weekends.

Great local boozer, plenty of warmth from the bar staff and locals. Not too pricey, unlike the pub along the road...

Quiz night. First visit ever here for me. Really welcoming. Enjoyed it. We'll be back.

What a welcome! Apprehensively, walking in on my own, I was made so welcome by the lady behind the bar. I was working in the area and called in to get a coffee and to use their ‘facilities’. Thank you so much to The Crown for your kindness towards me. If I lived nearer, I’d be a regular!!!

First time there. Went to take part in a quiz night, which is held every Tuesday. Enjoyed the evening. Friendly. Comfortable apart from being a tad cold as I sat near the door to the outside smoking area. Immaculate toilets. Big car park. Large outside area with tables.
