   I am very thankful for this garage. My car was showing an emissions fault when driving. I rang lots and lots of garages (including national ones) who would not touch it. KARS was recommended to me by another garage who did not have the equipment but knew KARS would. I rang and they booked me in straight away. It turned out I just needed a reset of the codes so was all quick, simple and cheap. Everyone I spoke to there was kind and friendly and told me to bring it back for free if it pops up again. Other garages made me feel like this was a huge issue and KARS put my mind at ease. I am now keeping their number and will recommend them to anyone who tells me about car issues.

   Phil and his team are great bunch of mechanics. Very knowledgeable and super helpful not to mention totally trustworthy and honest. Always on hand to help me out at short notice with any type of engine trouble, tyres, MOT and/or routine servicing. I would recommend them to anyone, we have been coming here for years. They service and look after all cars/vans in the family.

   My audi a3 was completely screwed, had a problem for a while and the last garage passed the MOT even though I said something was wrong. They got it in as fast as they could and done my clutch and replaced the ball joint which they picked up and said was on too tight... again the last garage replaced that but also could have been someone that drive into me so will let that slide and got the work done fast and at a very good price. Honest, fast, reliable, trustworthy. I will be coming here for the next MOT and service, by far the best I've used so far and very knowledgeable mechanics working there. Car feels strange to drive now but probably because its driving as it should have been

   Only seem to look after new customers now. I loved going here for nearly 5 years but now they're busy picking up from the pandemic they couldn't care less. Actually quite gutted as they were brilliant for a long time and couldn't help me more and I enjoyed the familiarity. I've been fobbed off too mang times now. Edit 08/12/2021 I have now found that the clutch they replaced about 10000 miles ago is now shot after the crankseal has been weeping, said crankseal was not replaced at the time of the clutch as they told me a couple of months later it needed doing and not being a mechanic myself I assumed everything was ok and paid for the work as I always had, I expected 70 to 100000 miles from a new clutch not 10000. I have also found the handbrake cables they replaced were not tied back properly and have rubbed on the front wheels and need replacing again after 18 months to 2 years. Extremely dissapointed and have no comeback because of the length of time since the workk was completed. I spent good money with Amalgamted Tyres which I now have to spend again. If I could leave no stars, I would.

   Took my car here for the first time in 2018. Found them very friendly, didn't condescend whilst speaking to you and very good in their overall communication and listening skills. Had problems with the car brakes and they sorted them out in no time. No gimmicks, but a simple choice of basic or full service. Have had my car in for various things ever since, as they are still easy to deal and still very friendly. Definitely recommend them.

   Took my car in to have the front brakes and two tyres replaced. I think it's fair to say that the bloke on the service reception isn't a morning person, but he'd cheered up considerably when I went to collect. They did exactly what I expected, no surprises or extras and reasonable prices. The car was ready quicker than expected too, which was a bonus. No complaints and would use them again.

   I can vouch for and recommend Kars Garage. Phil and his team are trust-worthy, able to accommodate at short-notice, and offer fair and reasonable labour charges. Here's why I can recommend them: My MOT recently failed on an ageing 2005 Vauxhall Astra, I asked the garage who conducted the MOT to give me a list of repairs I needed to do, and then I went to two separate garages to get their opinion to see if the repairs the first garage recommended were indeed justified. Once I was comfortable that I wasn't being hood-winked by the MOT testing garage, I opted to buy all of the replacement hardware myself from Euro Car Parts and wanted to pay a garage only the labour fees to replace the affected items on my car. I had a large swatch of items to replace and a short amount of time to do it under (three days), I needed the following done: * Replace full power steering rack * Replace both rear coil springs * Replace both rear shock absorbers/dampeners * Replace front brake discs * Replace front brake pads * Drain engine oil * Replace oil filter * Replace engine oil with the engine oil I provided (Castrol 5W-30 C3) * Wheel realignment (as power steering rack was replaced) After calling a few garages in Northampton to see which ones had the correct lifting equipment to do a full power steering rack replacement, as well as competitive labour pricing and available time-slots, I settled on Kars Garage. I opted for them due to their available schedule, as well as the previous customer-care experience I received from their sister-company (Amalgamated Tyres). When I called Kars, a staff member called "Phil" picked up -- who I think is main manager/owner of the business. He gave me an immediate time-slot on the day of my call, I brought in my car along with all of the replacement hardware from Euro Car Parts and we went through the job-list. Phil was happy with my requests and didn't seem to be annoyed that I wanted to do supply my own parts (some other garages were!) Phil broke down how much time each item took to replace (labour time), and how much they charged (labour cost). I compared this information with pricing I received from two other garages (National Tyres and Under The Bonnet), and it fell within the same pricing and time ranges they provided. Phil and his team finished working on my car by the end of second day, and respected my request to see all old removed parts (so I can inspect them for wear-tear/damages). Phil's team also packed my old power steering rack in the back of my car, which allowed me to take it to the Northampton branch of Euro Car Parts to get my surcharge fee waived (Euro Car Parts provides a partial refund if you bring your old steering rack to them). Once I left Kars Garage, I checked the oil dip-stick levels/colouring to see if they replaced the oil (they did), I then went to National Tyres garage, and paid one of their staff £5 to lift up my car on their ramps and help me validate that the oil filter, coil springs, shock absorbers, brake discs and brake pads were all replaced. We were able to verify Kars did all the tasks I paid for. On my MOT re-test at IN'n'OUT (Kettering road), I also asked their garage staff to double-confirm all hardware replacements were indeed done (they were and matched everything that National Tyres told me). I therefore wholeheartedly recommend Kars Garage! Phil and his team are trust-worthy, able to accommodate my urgent repair needs, and offered fair and reasonable labour charges. I cannot ask for more than that!
