   I was greeted with polite smiling faces which set the tone for a lovely evening. Seated by the window overlooking the racecourse, this is a unique experience in my local area - the view of the sunset was truly magical. The staff were very attentive and my freshly made butternut squash soup arrived quickly and was really tasty. As a mainly vegan who eats fish there was a lot of choice for me. The celeriac dish was very tasty. My companion had the fish curry and said the same. All the staff were very friendly so that made for a lovely atmosphere. This is a local venue that many locals don’t realise is there - a little gem worth the visit for a competitively priced good meal in a unique location.

   Food was bad - steak overcooked sent back, food came before drinks, drinks took 25 mins to come, pasta was tasteless couldn’t eat it - just one satisfied and fed diner at our table and that was child’s fish and chips peas inedible. Just ordered chips was left hungry irritated on over priced junk which I could do better with at home! Very disappointing- eat out at local pubs and don’t waste your money here, honestly.

   A Hidden Gem – If You Can Get In! The Cyprium Bar & Grill in Lingfield truly is a hidden gem — but getting a table there felt like a mission in itself. The online booking system didn’t seem to yield any response, and trying to get through on the phone was equally frustrating. It took sheer determination and persistence to finally secure a reservation. That said, once we were in, it was absolutely worth the effort. The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff attentive, and the food was genuinely excellent — beautifully presented, full of flavour, and clearly made with care. Service throughout the evening was friendly and efficient, striking just the right balance. Interestingly, our server mentioned that it’s often best just to turn up. In the worst-case scenario, you can be seated in the bar area, which has a similar menu and still offers a great experience. If they could streamline the booking process and improve their responsiveness, this place would be a knockout from start to finish. But once you're there, you're in for a real treat.

   Average. You expect more from a restaurant in a Marriott hotel. Fish and chips was supposed to be my safest option. 3 out of 4 dishes were good, except the traditional fish and chips. Spaghetti was broken in half!!! Salmon fillet was very good. Also vegan burger but not the french fries. Very friendly staff. Not good value for money. Local fish and chips shop is the best.

   Booked a table for 14 people for a Sunday lunch. We were all sat at the table waiting to order when we were told they hadn't any good in the kitchen and could only offer sandwiches. Of course we left, and had a lovely family lunch elsewhere

   For a Marriott restaurant it was poor. The kids food was very salty (all 3 dishes that were tried) and both the service and overall ambiance left a lot to be desired. Not up to Marriott standards, which can also be said for a lot of the other aspects too.

   Very limited choice in vegetarian choice. The whole atmosphere stinks with foul smell. No proper ventilation. The tables are sticky. The chefs have an attitude when asked for vegetarian sausages. There were 2-3 attendants who were really good. Always a long wait although we can see more than half of the hall is empty
