You can get better than a Kwikfit fitter! Had a puncture in my car after not avoiding a large pothole. The Manufacturer's emergency fluid repair was useless. I removed the wheel and took it into Northampton. Kwikfit told me obliquely and fairly brusquely they weren't interested in doing it 'I can't say when we will have a look at it, certainly not today, perhaps not tomorrow....'. Google directed me to Calmac, who I'd never heard of, an unknown quantity to me. The difference to Kwikfit could not have been more pronounced: They were friendly and welcoming. Despite being clearly busy, they took the wheel, diagnosed and showed me a long tear in the sidewall. They specially ordered in a matching tyre. I returned that afternoon to collect the finished wheel. All done and correct. The technician insisted on carrying the wheel to my car and placed it in the boot for me. An all-round excellent experience. they are my go-to in future. Highly recommended.
Failed to meet their own deadlines, Poor technical knowledge demonstrated from desk staff, compounded by poor communication with technicians. Fitted incorrect parts from another customers vehicle to mine, I waited around after work while they removed them again. I then received the bill, which represents worse value for money than I have experienced before in this industry. Avoid.
Terrible service. Replaced new mounts on gearbox or engine but forgot to tighten drive shaft nut wheel loose had to call RAC to JNC 12 M! on my way to ferry at Newhaven. Iveco spotted the danger after 1 hour of investigating the noise. Was told by them it would have caused CARNAGE if wheel had come off on M1 in my M/Home 8 meters in length. Lee was the mechanic who did the work he needs supervising and retraining!!!!!!!!! No good recommendation from me steer clear!!!! Had to give one star to be able to post
