First time at Gandom with my friends and it was absolutely great! Warm welcome, I had the strawberry daqari mocktal, very refreshing! We all had the gandom kebab platter for 1 and it was so worth the money! Lamb and chicken was cooked to perfection and rice was fragrant and fluffy! And the grilled peppers and salad complimented all the food, we had complimentary tea and we also got baklava to share which was a perfect to finish, we spent 2 hours there and it felt like we was at home! Great music was playing in the background, The young lady who waited on us was very attentive and friendly, and was working so hard! We will definitely be back! Keep up the great work!

Absolutely fantastic! Gandom Iranian Restaurant is a true gem. The food is fresh, authentic, and full of flavour — every dish tastes like it was made with care and tradition. The kebabs are perfectly cooked, the stews are rich and comforting, and even the rice is beautiful and fragrant. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff are friendly, attentive, and genuinely make you feel at home. If you’re looking for a taste of real Persian cuisine with great service, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!

We went at opening time on a sat - so early that the restaurant was empty and the staff weren’t really ready. Other than that the service was good - they looked after us as best they could. I’d say the food was ok. The adana and koftes were ok but I thought missing a level of spices. Maybe we were so early they hadn’t marinated properly or something.

My partner and I (who is Persian) visited Gandom restaurant tonight & everything was just wonderful! We were made to feel welcome, the lady who took our order & looked after us was so polite and friendly. The restaurant itself was clean (including the toilets) with lovely decor inside the restaurant and the atmosphere was great, playing Persian music too. Obviously the main thing to review here is the food- it was honestly amazing! We had hummus & bread, ghormeh sabzi & chicken & lamb koobideh which we both shared between us- we finished it all because it was beautiful, the meat was great quality and tasting. Would highly recommend.. we couldn’t fit in any baklava although I wished we had!

Beautiful decor, wonderful food and friendly staff and owner. I’ve never felt so welcomed in a restaurant before. This has been an incredible dining experience. Meat was so juicy and food were freshly made. Will bring my family and friends back here.

The food and the service were absolutely superb and as for the date omelette, one of the best things I've ever tasted. The freshly baked bread (check out the amazing bread oven behind the glass screen) is too delicious for words and I bought one to take away.

The local is pleasantly decorated with a traditional Persian taste but not over the top, a very warm welcomed when we entered and courteous service. The food was exceptional, a proper home made Persian taste, full of flavours, fragrant and free from processed oils typical of restaurants. Definitely Recommended for Persian food lovers

Great experience. The food is an Iranian and Arabic fusion, it was delicious, they serve the best shakshokah (eggs & onion & tomato) in brighton! Also, the staff was super friendly, we met the chef and talked about her family and her business and she offered a free delicious dessert! The service was excellent as well, the food came on time and the quantity was enormous, with big bot of tea and blenty of bread (unlike other places lol).

Amazing food, amazing service. The beef tongue was so tender and delicious and the bread... phenomenal. The decor was very cosy, I would highly recommend.
